How do you replace an air filter on a bmw 320d 2004 car

Quite often people forget to attach the ground cable that goes under a bell housing bolt , check there first.

Hi it seems like key is not responding. Its been immobilised.
you need to get some one down to get the key to be read by the car. Possibly need the car key reprogram

Coolant is getting into one of the cylinders of engine , head gasket , a crack in the cylinder head or engine block !

I'm guessing that you got an air lock in your fuel system as a result of your changing the fuel filter... I certainly don't know about a BMW diesel, but in most semi-truck engines, there is a priming pump just for the purpose of getting the air out ... and the fuel into.... the fuel system. I've even been known to fill the filters with diesel fuel before screwing them onto the base.. This is risky because of the possibility of allowing some foreign, unfiltered debris to get into your pump and/or injectors, just because of your putting unfiltered fuel into your filter... Check and see if there is some kind of priming pump close to the filter. Also, a possibility is that you may have an electric fuel pump.... as to where all you may need to do is loosen a fuel fitting on the pressure side of the pump and filter.... and allow the electric pump to purge the system of air.. I confess to my lack of knowledge on your BMW.... but, I do have some basic understanding of most diesel systems... Good luck..

fuel filter or air filter? Cabin filter? Fuel filter will be under drivers side door near drive axle on left side of engine. Or by gas tank.

well the battery may have enough voltage and power for the lights but not enough to trigger the starter solenoid...

have your battery charged...

very easy open house remove old air filter, vacuum out housing and replace with new filter....should take about 5 minutes...

You have blown the oil rings.

On this vehicle if the service history is up to date the microfilter would have been changed no more than 15000 miles ago. You may need the help from a garage to check to make sure that the air con system is fully charged, if so it may be the heater control panel it's self that may be at fault. It may be worth a visit to a local specalist or dealer to get the fault memories read but ask for a fixed quote for diagnosis before hand. hope this may be of help.

change the cabin filter will get rid of the smell however for cold ac you will need to recharge the ac and have a black light test in 5 days or less after it was recharged. then they would spot for a leak in the ac system
