Honestly, dont try to. those things cause fires and by what your saying it a power issue, it could be the temp switch or something in the plug. its really not worth it though, there just to inexpensive to risk your home or your lives.

Why does steam iron light keep flashing on verve max glide iron

Is it a power switch that lights up? Many of these units have gas-filled (Neon) type lights in then and when they start to fail they flicker most times before they go completely. Not to worry though it doesn't mean the unit itself is failing. If it is the light you'll just have to do as my mother did back in the day and lick the tip of your finger and quickly tap the face (Hot Part) If hot it will make a sttt sound.

Rowenta Advancer iron has been working for 2 years and now won't heat up. I have checked the cord and it is fine. The heat indicator light comes on but I don't measure any voltage going to the hot plate....

My Norelco steam iron 1513 B, lights up, but does not get hot.

It likely has a burned-out heating element. Probably time for a new iron.
