My laptop is not discovering wireless, I have ran the lenovo software update, and i have installed the wireless adapte. I have a Lenovo Thinkpad R400 7443-cto

check the printer directions..some printers have to be set discover able inorder for your Lenovo device to see it. Some printers and devices time out after 3 min and therefore have to be set in discoverable mode again

OK, and then what?

Sounds like you have a faulty ribbon cable or the ribbon cable it needs re-attaching to the motherboard.

We ran a typical Thinkpad T400 battery of tests, including games, applications, and a couple other areas. hi mmi300, try to press Fn + F5 and check if it works. Pls determine if there is a toggle switch (if it is a laptop) somewhere. Disregard that step if it is a desktop...

The wireless radio switch is located on the front left of the R400. ( Can sometimes be hard to move ).

you'll have to use the software Everest Free Edition, it will guide you to which wireless website you need to download from, it will scan
your laptop and identify your wireless model
