Transferring pictures from computer to camera

I have taken thousands of pics with mt Z740 and transferred them to my computer. However I cannot figure out how to transfer the pics back from the computer to the camera. Is this possible?

I hve purchased at least two SC card readers and various SC cards. I have not been able to copy pics from my computer to the SD card using a card reader. My Dell can't find the right program to load and it definitely is not drag and drop. I keep getting ' write protected' messages and it's ain't so. I'm not stupid but I sure don't know what the fix is.

Hi Mike. The only way I can think to do this, is with an separate card reader. Then you could take your SD card and load back and forth, from your computer to camera (and vice versa).

hope this helps!

We have a Kodak Easy Share Z740. It was working fine and all of a sudden it quit transferring pictures over to the computer. It will not bring up the Scanner and Camera Wizard. Can you help?

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

I am trying to transer pictures onto my computer but some pictures are not transferring and when I retry is says all pictures were transferred but many are not. I have updated the software and no matter...

The pics that won't transfer may have the same numbers as pics already on your computer. If that's the case, you'll need to rename the ones on your computer.

After transferring pics to my pc, when memory card is back in camera, it says no files are there. how do i retain pics on memory card to show on camera?

Check for a setting in the software that deletes pictures fom the card when transferring pictures. Set it to another setting, if this is available.

Sounds like your computer or the software program you're using to download your pics is set to automatically erase the card after the download.

Transferring pics

Have you taken new pictures with the device, or are these already possibly transferred to your system/PC? If they are already on your PC, it will not add them again (to save you space).
If you chose transfer all, what do you get as a result? Check the log for help.

Transferring from internal memory to memory card

connect camera to computer without disk. Go to "my computer", click on the camera icon, it should say how many pictures you have and ask what you want to do with them.
