Memory card
The D60 was released BEFORE HD SD cards came out. The 4 gig card MAY BE TOO BIG. HSD I think is the Nomenclature you may need a normal SD card. I think 2GB is as big as you can go but don't quote me.

Camera won't turn on
First, you shouldn't take pictures in the raw mode unless you have the software on your computer that can read it and convert it. Second, the camera appears to be defective...it's new so why not take it back?

Our D60 used to take
The pictures are blurry due to camera shake, which in itself is caused by the slow shutter speed. Try using shake reduction setting. To increase the shutter speed, raise the ISO rating.

D60 flash won't pop up
Please set the MODE to P (Programmed Auto) In this mode YOU control the flash, not the camera. Inside where it is not bright. Set your ISO to 800 and take a photo indoors with low light. Then pop up the flash and do it again. P lets you take a photo with the flash down or UP it is the only mode I suggest most people should use. :)

A Nikon camera D60
Hi,
All you said is that you have a Nikon D60. I can't help you if you do not ask a question.
1) WHAT IS YOUR QUESTION?
2) Which lens or lenses do you have?
3) Tell me ALL of the details surrounding the equipment failure or your question(s)?

My focus assist light remains on.
Did you recharge the battery? USB voltage is fixed at 5V. See if you can put the battery in and charge it without any computer involved. I fear that more than 5V was put into the camera and it may be badly damaged. I am not sure this is a guess.

Sd card full message
There are several possibilities:
The card may actually be full. It's possible that you did not program the computer to erase the card after downloading the pictures from your last shoot. If that's the case, just format the card in the camera. You can check to see if there are images on the card by pressing the playback button on the rear of the camera. Camera must be "On" to do this.
The card may be corrupted. Again, try formatting. If this doesn't fix the problem, replace the card with a known good one and see what happens. If the camera functions properly, then you know it's a card problem.
If the above doesn't fix it, the card may not be making proper contact inside the camera. However, if that's the case you should be getting a "no card" error message. My D-90 simply won't operate without a card in place.
Finally, if none of the above help, contact Nikon tech support at
www.nikon.com. I've found them to be very helpful.

Error. press shutter release button again
most likely cause is failure of the motor in the SQ unit on the side of the mirror box. This ***** the shutter, raises the mirror, and operates the aperture unit. They're made in China, motors are **** This is a very very common problem, and the part is always on back order at Nikon. As Nikon has announced that they are going to stop selling parts - to anyone - in a couple of months you are probably better off sending it to them. Be prepared for a bill a little less than $200.also if you pressed down really ******* the release to get it to fire, you may also have broken the release switch

D60 will not turn on - why?
If the camera has only been off for a few months, I would recommend that you take the camera and the battery to a camera shop, verify that the current battery is holding a charge and then check the camera with another battery.
