I get the message "remove and check print cartridge" on my hp 2410 printer. I Replaced the black cartridge and still the same. I do not use color and have had cartridge in for a couple of years. Any way to use the printer without the hp58 color cartridge?

The old color cartridge has been left in place all the time. The black cartridge was replaced 3 weeks ago. Today the "remove and check print cartridge" came one again. I again replace the black cartridge with new one but the "remove and check print cartridge" stayed On. Is there any way to tell if there is a printer problem without buying a new color cartridge?

I don't think so. Printers usually won't print unless it can detect both cartridges. It doesn't matter whether the colour one is empty or full, as long as it can detect it you can usually still use black.

Print cartridge in right stall not supported for hp 2410

Print cartridge is a knock off. Cartridges have printed circuits in them that the printer can recognize as being the original replacement. This is to keep people from using other products in their printer, which I think is foul, since you paid for the printer and it technically belongs to you. Sometime HP will make cartridges with faulty circuits that the printer will not recognize.. If that is the case call them and demand a new ink cartridge.

Get "remove and check print cartridges" on printer, a new black cartridge has been replaced but still get same message.

Hi,

Is the new black cartridge that you fitted made by HP?
If it is not I would try with a new HP cartridge, I would also try replacing the colour cartridge.

Try taking out the cartridges and blot the bottom of the cartridge with paper towel wetted with warm water.Repeat several times. While the cartdigdes are out, use the eraser end of a pencil and gently clean the contacts in the carriage and then clean the contacts of the ink cartridges.

Follow the steps below to solve the problem.
  1. Remove the color cartridge from the left stall (which has a blue latch) and refasten the latch. Leave the other cartridge in place.
  2. Close the printer, wait 10 to 15 seconds, then look at the LCD display.
    • If the LCD display reads Insert Color Cartridge in Left Stall , the color cartridge may be causing the problem. Follow the steps below:
      1. Clean the color cartridge contacts.
      2. Reinsert the color cartridge into the carriage and close the blue latch.
      3. Close the printer and wait 10 to 15 seconds.

    2. Turn off the unit by pressing the On button on the front panel. Wait for the printer to completely shut down.
    3. Turn the printer back on by pressing the On button.
    4. When the message display reads Insert Print Cartridges , open the access door and replace the cartridges.
    1. If neither of the steps above fixed the problem, either the cartridge or the printer is faulty

I'd clean the cartridge connections on the printer, try a new cartridge and refrain from using reinked cartridges.
