The DS wont charge because my daughter stuck a penney in the DS

Try and unscrew all the covers for the DS and locate the penny. Just try not to stretch wires or anything.

My nintendo ds lite isnt recognising a new game i have inserted, i have had problems before such as games freezing but presumed it was the game not the ds !

your DS may be too old to read the card... I got the "New Super Mario Bros" and my old DS wouldnt read it. when i tested it on my new one, it worked just fine. of course, it could also be the ds card slot. here is a website that sells replacement items. i would look up step-by-step instructions on how to replace it before you try anything.
