No sound Just been given a Pioneer VSX-D511 in excellent cosmetic condition. Powers up and all the functions seem to operate as they should (selecting an FM-station, changing to CD etc). However I can't get any sound out of either speakers or headphones, either on FM or from input on back. Can anyone suggest what the problem is? There are no accessible fuses to check and I'm rather loathe to open up the box! Any help gratefully received Emlyn

I have the exact same problem. The receiver appears to be in excellent condition. It powers up just fine, I'm able to change the settings from cd, dvd, am/fm, etc. But NO sound. Anybody know whats going on???

I have the same problem. It worked before and now the sound is gone. If I put it on tuner and turn it up all the way I can hear a little bit

PIONEER AMP ERROR

Hello,
Most probably you have one of the power amplifier modules bad. They are the PAC010 and PAC011 type. You can remove one and power up the receiver. If it powers-up normaly it's that one.... (50% chance) Otherwise remove both and it should power up normally. Beware that these parts are expensive... Most times just with a new part the problem is solved. YMMV. Good luck

Pioneer vsx-d511 amp error

I've had the same problem for over a month and have yet to find the time to get to it. However, I there may be a fuse on the circuit board that needs to be replace. That's just my guess.

Hope it's the solution.
