How can i connect my xbox to my computer with

If it's failing the IP test, that would imply that it can't talk to your router, not the internet, since that's where it gets it's IP address from. (Although XBox may do this with an internet check) So:
-First, have you tried a different ethernet cable to the XBox; one that you know is good?
-Secondly, ports on the switch can go bad without the whole switch failing. Have you tried plugging it in to a different one in the router?
-Assuming you have a dynamic service such as a cable modem, have you tried plugging the XBox directly into that modem wire coming out to the router?

Be sure to power cycle the XBox on each of these checks so you remind it to go out and check for a connection. ( this would be the same as ps3 also)

You need to have windows live and a wireless router or Ethernet cable that goes directly from your modem/computer/ to your Xbox. As for Xbox live, same process, most people have wireless adapter to connect to their wireless router. If it doesn't connect when you test it, it will tell you why. if its for your xbox 360 to work just plug all wires up the way it says in the handbook. if its xbl, connect your ethernet cable to your computer and xbox, the phone wire to your computer and modem, and make sure that the power is running correctly. to make your connection wireless, use a router.

i recommend try a different ethernet cable maybe a bad wire

go to the dashboard,and test your conection,once it failes you can then search for your network,click on your network and type in the WPA key,which is written on the back of your router,and it should have no problem conecting to xbox live,depending on your conection,you mite have a bit of lag during online games.

you will need a ethernet cable to connect it to the modem. the modem then needs a DSL cable wihch should connect to splitter in your phone line.

check that the wire coming from the xbox 360 elite to the tv is switched to hd, and the other end of the wire has the red and white for the sound pluged into the tv and that the red green and blue wires are pluged into the tv. also check to see if the hdmi cable to conected to the tv and xbox 360 elite.

You need to connect the cable to an internet modem or to a router. you dont conect the xbox to the computer.

The cable is suposed to have both ends exactly the same. the reason why you cant't fit it in your computer is becase you probably allready have a cable with internet connection going to the computer, so connect the cable going to the computer to the xbox or get a router an connect that cable to the router and then get two more cables to go to the computer and other one to the xbox

The XBOX 360 can only be connected via an RJ-45 ethernet wire to the router unless you purchase the wireless adapter. The adapter can be bought at any accessory store such as walmart, Target, Gamestop, etc.

Are you getting a Green light on the network port of the xbox?



If not the you may need to use a crossover cable. a striaght through cable (Normal Network Cable) wont work.

if you have a spare cable you can make one by cutting 4 wires
