1999 Isuzu Rodeo both front headlights stopped working

At first the hight beam indicator came on even though the lights were working at low beam. Then the headlights stopped working completely and the hight beam indicator stayed on, then off later that day. This AM the high beam indicator is on again, but headlights dont work at low beam or high beam? Fuses blown? Relay bad? Wiring problem? Please advise, thanks so much.

Always check your fuses and relays just switch your relays out to the other one so that way you know then if that's not it it's usually your ground

SOURCE: I have a 1998 Isuzu Rodeo The head lights won't

The dimmer swich is suspect, Its mixed in with the turn signal switch wiper switch. sometimes it can be found watching the lights to push in and wiggle the turn signal switch if it comes on low at all doing this the switch is bad. It fails alot everyauto parts store should have it and take the covers off the collum to change it don't forget to check the plug that plugs into the switch for burnt connectors or backed out wires. find the wire that comes hot when you put power right on the low beam wire on the headlight ( lows will be on ) there'll be a wrre that came hot that wasn't with every thing hooked up, Unhook jumper and hook right at switch if it works from the switch the switch is bad. Change and ride saftly at nite. Some models have daytime running lights and the fuses for them are in their own fuse panel and have heir own relay this doesn't happen very often.

Most total headlight failures are caused by a bad component like a fuse, relay, or module. Wiring problems can also cause both headlights to stop working. High beam headlights don't work or low beams don't work. If just one bulb fails to work in either high beam mode or low beam mode, it may be the bulb. Check your manual to find your headlamp relay.

Low beams not working

If the lgihts go out when low beam is selected, both low beam lamps may burned out! It is possible that you drove the vehcile with one low beam not working and didn't notice. The second failed and now you noticed!

If not, there is a headlight relay that selects high/low beam current to the headlights, but those things seldom fail. Check your owner's manual to find its location and replace it.

Need to adjust front headlights

Park the vehicle in front of a wall, at night. Turn on your low beams, and from there, you can adjust it, by, if your Rodeo is like most of the newer vehicles, there are some screws right on top, two up at the front of the grill, one at the back of the headlight, turn them, mostly the back one will be the one you need, until the light hits right where you will need it.

Hi all fuses good but can not get low beam to go, hi beam will go and park lights also work.

Have you checked the headlight globes? The Low Beam filaments usually burn out well before the High beam ones because the Low beam is used most of the time. Access to the globes is via the rear of the light assemblies in the engine bay.

1997 Isuzu Rodeo low beam problem. I have high beams but no low beams. Where can I find the relay for my headlights under the hood? What does a relay look like? If the relay is fine and I have to buy...

Rodeo has an opening where the blinker switch go into the steering column and gets full of dust and ect. Take a can of computer keyboard cleaner and stick the spray tub down into the column and spray while working the blinker switch up and down and or compressed air to get the dust out, works everytime.

Low headlights do not work

Check your hi/low beam switch. It sounds like you are not getting power through the switch on low beams.

Low beam headlights not working on 2004 Pontiac Montana extended

You headlight lamp have a diffuser mechanism which allows it to flip between the hight beam and low beam feature of the bulb. In fact, you high beam will function even if the low beam is not working.

I would recommend the purchase of the new headlight lamp. It would cost you you any where from $15.00 per unit to get a replacement lamp
