Some pictures already there

I am having the same problem as the previous poster. Several times, I've tried to download photos from my camera to PC, and I get the message that not all photos transferred because some pictures already exist. I've tried renaming the photos coming in so the system doesn't think they are duplicates of older files, but I am stumped. I have photos on my camera now that I am afraid to transfer because I don't want to lose some of them.

Is there a way to fix this?

Try using a separate card reader to download your pictures to a folder you create on your desktop. Then you can carefully rename the ones that the computer thinks are duplicates and then move them to their final destination. Your camera is obviously creating new folders but not continuing the sequence of numbers on the photos. You might want to e-mail one of Kodak's tech people with your problem to see if they've come up with a work-around.

Increase resolution

The poster resolution and the computer resolution are completely separate. The cpt resolution controls the monitor screen display. The poster resolution refers to the camera pixels used in recording the original picture - it cannot be increased. The poster program is measuring the resolution of the file picture only and indicating that t will produce a blurry poster.

Do yourself a favor and purchase a USB Memory card reader at Radio Shack or other electronic store for about $10. You simply put your card in there and it becomes another drive on your PC. Then you can drag and drop your photos in Windows Explorer. This will also save you from having to run your camera batteries every time you want to dump pictures to your PC. This is how I've always done it and I can do it all in less than a minute. I just keep the USB card reader right in my camera bag. You should also be able to see your camera in Windows Explorer, as well and do the same thing; I just like the card reader better.

If it is infected, try the corrupted card procedures in the following link. Also take no more pics until you've recovered your photos, take the card out of the camera. This is to reduce the chance of you overwriting some of your "lost" photos. There are many good freeware photo recovery software options that may help you recover your photos. I must advise against doing that. If you do, every time you try to download pics to the computer, it will think you've already downloaded pics with those numbers and either refuse to do it or it will erase the previous pics to make room for the new ones.

How can I take high resolution photos on my Panasonic Lumix DMC FS15. I sent some photos to Costco to have them made into posters and was told that I needed a higher resolution photo to make a good clear...

All cameras have multiple settings for picture quality. For example if you email a lot of pictures select a lower resolution. If you have "poster" size prints made select the highest resolution you camera will do.
Go into your cameras set up and select the highest resolution you have. should be about 12MP.
You have a high quality print with that.

Jpg files corrupt

After you've donloaded your pictures, have you tried formatting your card in the camera? Press the Menu button, then go to the settings (tools) menu. Go down to the Format option. Select "Low Level" format if available in your menu. Again make sure that you have downloaded your pictures first as this will also erase your card.

If the above doesn't work, have you tried using an SD card reader? If so, the next thing to try would be a different card reader. And finally, have you done a recent sweep for spyware on your computer. Spyware can cause temporary hangup/hiccups that could potentially corrupt your download.
