How to delete duplicate from zune player - Microsoft Zune JS8-00001 Digital Media Player

You cant delete song with the player only. You have to hook the player up to a computer and do a reset of the player that will also re install the firmware. Once you do this the player will be empty. If you only want to delete certain song you have to hook the player up and use the Zune software to see the music you have on it then delete what you want from the list shown.

Open up the Zune software. Go to Collection from the Zune software menu and then select Pictures. Right click on the picture you want to delete. Choose if you want to keep the item on your computer or just remove it from your Zune collection or remove it entirely. Connect your Zune and then let it sync with the software.

go to your collection and right click on song and choose the bottom option

You must connect it to the computer, go to the Zune software, select the "device" view and then you can view all the content on that, right click, and delete any of it.

   • Videos
   • Pictures
   • Podcasts
   • Channels
3. Right-click the item that you want to remove, and then click Delete.
4. Select the option that you want to use, as follows:
   • Keep file(s) but remove from collection
     The item remains on the computer, but the item is removed from your collection.
   • Delete file(s) and remove from collection
     The Item is deleted from the computer, and the item is removed from your collection.
5. Click OK.

u have to keep the songs somewhere so it wont delete it
