While using the microwave it just stopped working and went blank, no light, no clock, nothing. I've tried different plug-ins that are fine and still nothing. My question I guess, is it worth fixing or replacing? Thanks, Jeff
Your in luck. With nothing working it's your fuse (20 amp). If the light was still working or anything else, it most likely would not be worth repairing. The fuse looks like one of the old round car fuses but it is not. It's a special 20 amp fuse made for micro waves out of ceramic. You can order them over the internet. One site is www.partselect.com. This is a part number for one that cost $3.84 PS2163369. You can use this number or if you can find you model number and enter it on the site. You can buy it with a credit card from them
Check the fuse and the wiring inside the plug..If this does not help then you need to decide the cost of parts and labour if applicable and work out the cost of a new one and see if it feasible.

Mine did this too. Also, at times when I would shut the door, the whole keypad would go dark and the clock would have to be reset. There were also times when I would push Start and it would do nothing. I'd have to unplug it so it would reset itself. I used a screwdriver and forced the door open. Mine is about 2 years old and it's now dead. Biggest piece of junk I've purchased in years. Really ticked me off, no more LG products for me. I had a Toshiba that lasted me 22 years and the only thing that went bad on it was the light stopped working and the fan cover fell off.
Sounds like something has shorted out-blown. Unless it is a very expensive model it won't be worth fixing and is not something you should attempt yourself anyway. If under guarantee then get it repaired via the guarantee arrangements. No harm in checking the plug is wired properly but as the light and timer are working it is very doubtful it is a connection problem. I think you need to buy a new microwave!
