Travelmate C300 I have a travelmate C300 which is about 2-1/2 years old. It quite working about 1-1/2 years ago. It was running on battery and when tried to turn on just would not boot up. When connected to the power supply a couple of lights on the monitor light up. The battery light is yellow and blue tooth light but not everytime. Do you know if the problem is likely a power jack problem. Thanks for you help.

Sounds like it. . . (power pin problem). I use a Cable Retention Device like the one in this video to keep from damaging the fragile connector. . . .

Why will my battery not charge?

I will assume you are finding the procedure to remove battery for the ACER travelmate C300 tablet PC. Best way would be to go to page 50 in the service manual available at this site.
http://tim.id.au/laptops/acer/travelmate%20c300.pdf
The battery not charging could simply be the battery is old and dead or the charging circuit is faulty. Start with the adapter in that case as it is cheapest to replace.

If you are removing parts to diagnose further then I would strongly suggest you video what you are doing in order to get back to where you started.

My laptop wont turn on

I think your battery or your whole motherboard is fried. Does it make any noises? Do the fans start to run? Try unplugging your battery and only keeping your charger in.

I appear to have lost the driver for the ethernet controller. Where can I find the driver to reinstall it?

The driver's can be found on Acers website Acer Drivers. Scroll to the bottom to: "Or select my product from a list:" Select: Notebook, TravelMate, TravelMate C300. Acer only supports Windows XP on this model according to the driver list. If your running 7, you might have to install the driver through a Windows update.

Buy replacement keyboard for a Acer travelmate C300 tabletpc

Ebay is a good place to start. To replace it. Take out the screw on the back labeled "KB." Then on the front, there are three tabs on top of the keyboard (closest to the screen). Take a pen and pull them towards you. Then take the keyboard out and put the other one in.

Acer Tablet C300 Series - Cursor moving to Left

I?ve had a couple of Dells laptops do this and without fail the cause was flaky touchpad/mouse drivers. I would suggest going to the Acer website downloading the latest drivers for your mouse. If that fails try removing the driver and running with the Windows default drivers, that what I?ve been doing successfully on my company laptops for several years now. Acer driver download page, the web site is really slow so be prepared for a long wait. The closest match was the C300 so I?m assuming these are generic drivers for the 300 series. Use the pull down menus and select the following: -Select Product Line = Notebook -To the right of that select TravelMate C300 (way at the bottom) -Make sure English is selected and click on the search button. Once the drivers page opens go down towards the bottom and load for TM C300 touchpad drivers Let us know if you have any other questions and please don?t forget to rate this posting.
