Why will my battery not charge?

I have tried to find the battery to remove and re-insert but I can't find it.

I will assume you are finding the procedure to remove battery for the ACER travelmate C300 tablet PC. Best way would be to go to page 50 in the service manual available at this site.

The battery not charging could simply be the battery is old and dead or the charging circuit is faulty. Start with the adapter in that case as it is cheapest to replace.

If you are removing parts to diagnose further then I would strongly suggest you video what you are doing in order to get back to where you started.

Since you didn't mention the brand name, etc, I'm going to give you some basic instructions that hopefully will reset your tablet to at least get it turned on so that you can do a more in-depth troubleshoot.

You're going to have to drain the battery battery first of all, and even though you cannot turn the device on, just leave it be with the battery inserted for 24 to 48 hours. After that, you'll need to plug the tablet into a charger and allow it to charge for a full, normal cycle (4 to 8 hours, depending on your tablet.) After that, try turning the tablet on again.

If that doesn't work, remove the battery from your device for about 10 minutes and while the battery is removed, hold the power button down for 10 seconds. Replace the battery and try to turn the device on.

If the steps above don't work, then the best idea is to take it to a qualified repairperson for diagnosing the issue.

Battery was low 1% plugged it in was charging, left came home couple hrs. Later! Now won't turn on, won't do anything??
remove the battery press the power button for more than 10 seconds then release and repeat the process, then insert the battery and connect the charger again wait for sometimes. Hope will help. If fails you have a drained battery try busting the battery.

Why does innotab charging light blink when charging and will not charge?
the charge imdicator is suppose to blink when you plug the toy to the wall adaptor. if it doesnt blink then there's something wrong with either the adaptor, the adaptor port on the toy or the rechargeable power packs. now i said that the light is suppose to blink. but the frequency of the blinks shouldnt be fast. if that's the case clean the compartments and re-insert the batteries. if you are still having problems try the ff T/S:

1)remove the power packs, plug the toy to adaptor and turn it on. if it turns on that means your adaptor is working.
2)remove the adaptor and try using just the power packs.
3)try using 4aa batteries.

if the toy turns on with only one of the power sources stated above you better call vtech hotline.

My google nexus 7 wont turn on
Sorry to hear/read this.
First, try get a new charger and plug your Google nexus 7. Suspect a dead battery with no charge left on it.

Otherwise, confirm your charger isn't just lighting up whereas it isn't delivering any charge current to your device.

Next to try if your ac charger is confirmed good is to attempt replacing the battery; at the store, have them insert a compatible/similar battery and then try power on your device.

NOTE:
New batteries at the point of purchase have some charge on them; sufficient to power on your device.

Device not power on, DON'T PURCHASE NEW BATTERY. Obviously, you don't have a power/battery problem.

Device power on, then you either have a battery that has failed or that your device's charging port needs to be serviced or repaired.

Hi! I do understand that you are having the problem on the laptop turning on. Try another option, turn off laptop, remove cables and battery, press and hold power button for 10 secs. Reinsert the cables and battery on the laptop. Then turn it on. If the laptop did not turned on, remove the power cable and turned on the laptop. If still didn't, remove the battery and insert the power cable. If still did not work then check if there lights flashed on the laptop when turning it on. If still does not, then you need to contact the pc manufacturer for repair and possible replacement. Otherwise, if there is light on the laptop, then there might be a problem either the battery or the power cable itself. If there is light on the laptop but no power cable, most likely the monitor did not work simply because the battery works due to the fact that there is light on the laptop.
