SD card error

I just bought a 2 GB SD card(KODAK) and when I put it in and start it it asks to format. I click yes or no and I always comes up card error. Is 2 GB too big?

    Yes, I have the same problem. I have a Samsung Digimax 4010 with 4 megapixal and used a 2 GB SD memory card and it gave me an card error after I click "OK" to format. Is 2 GB too big to use for this digital camera???

    Yes the 2gb is too big for the digimax 4010 the max it can hold is 256mb

    No my 512 MB one is fine. And I've used a 1 GB also

The Z740 supports only MultiMediaCards & SD Memory Cards. 4GB and larger SD cards are usually SDHC (Secure Digital High Capacity) types - and bear the SDHC mark on the label. These cards are not compatible with this camera. Use only MMC and SD cards. SD cards are 2 GB and under - although *some* 4 GB cards are marked as SD too; these cards may or may not work. If you purchase a 4 GB SD (not SDHC) card, make sure that it can be returned if it doesn't work reliably in your camera.

But try an firmware upgrade. Maybe the supporting now the 2 GB memory cards.

Kodak c310 camera won't format new SD 2GB card old card same size

Older C310s won't take that large a card. Try to exchange it for a 1 GB or smaller. I had the same problem - a PNY 1 GB works fine

2 gb sd card

Hey Guys yes I am from South Africa Just bought the SD 2 GB ScanDisk sd card - Same Thing
Pathetic to say the least!
Anyways - Thanx for the comments what i have learned from this is that its not just ME with the problem, and I must say I feel better!
Kodak C310... well you cant compare it with the big boys...

Ps: formatting the card in your pc does not fix the problem with the camera, I tried it.. The card works fine on my Garmin

Sd card will not format

The camera has a limit of a 2 GB card , its built into the camera hardware.
