Xm check atenna connection

If you are getting the same "check antenna" message with two different antennas, it is likely that the tuner itself is the problem. You can get just the mini tuner here:

http://www.tss-radio.com/products/xm-mini-tuner-replacement-home-dock

As far as the two plug connection, there are adapters available. Its likely a dual fakra connection, though I don't know for sure. At any rate, this is one adapter available. (I would call to confirm)

When I plug my headset antenna into my myfi I only get partial reception. I have to keep moving the plug around to get reception

Not the plug but YOU have to move around to hit the satellite with the antenna. Unless you're outside in a field, the head antenna is very picky.

Delphi SKYFi3 XM Radio Repeater

You begin by setting up your existing (((XM))) antenna the one that came in your home kit (not included in repeater package) in a location that gets good reception of the (((XM))) signal. This may be outside, or on a south facing window sill. This antenna gets plugged into the rear of the Delphi (((XM))) Radio Signal Repeater Transmitter. A power jack is right next to the antenna connection, and should be plugged in and to the wall with the included power supply. There is also a "PWR OUT" selector switch on the rear of the unit which allows you to control the strength of the signal transmitted from the unit.

Once the power and antenna are attached, both blue indicator lights will light up on the face of the unit. The blue antenna indicator will light up only to signify that the antenna is attached correctly. It does not let you know whether your antenna is in a location receiving a good (((XM))) signal or not. You will have to look at the signal strength indicator on your (((XM))) radio receiver do determine best location for the (((XM))) antenna.

Once you have this setup, place the Repeater Antenna close to your existing (((XM))) Radio and plug it into your antenna jack on the (((XM))) radio cradle. This connector is identical to your (((XM))) Home Antenna provided with all Boom boxes and (((XM))) home receivers and kits so compatibility is guaranteed. The Repeater Receiver Antenna does not require any separate power connections. Hope this helps!

XM radio reception issues

If you have the magnetic antenna, check it for a little nick on the cable on the outside of the car where water might get in to it. A little water can short the ground and the antenna wire. You also can wash (with lots of water around where the antenna cable is) and see if it happens again, then you will know it not just the weather

No reception as a portable unit

My experience with the XM2Go is that it never really works well on the portable antenna -- in my case not a complete failure, but that might be because I am in an urban area there are ground transmitters in addition to satellite reception. But any movement disrupts the signal Here's the solution - record some music on myxm (up to 5 hours) while docked, and play that music when not docked to an antenna.

XM Sure Connect antenna assembly.

You didn't say which type of vehicle your wife drives, so here is a generic answer, Good luck (my wife loves her Sat Radio!)

By the way did you get any reception without the kit?

The SureConnect cables plug into the vehicle dock antenna plug and the XM antenna then plugs into the SureConnect cable. The SureConnect cable cannot be used on a retractable or motorized antenna.

If you cannot use the cable, at all, then I would go to Crutchfield, via the phone or web, as they have good technical advice. You may need a different adapter. Possibly part # 040SA10112.

Xm not working

I had a short in my TERK antenna and it gave me the same problem.

If you know someone else using xm, you can try their antenna to see if that is.

I took mine to Best Buy and they had one they checked it with.

Best of Luck.
