I cannot send any SMS using my Nokia 6288

When i woke up this morning, i tried to send an SMS to a friend, but i failed. i checked the Message setting in my Nokia 6288 and it's written there as "Pending". i tried again to send to another friends and i just can't. Even the message sending icon on the screen is not moving as usual. this pproblem used to happen to me once couple of months ago and i went to the repair outlet to have my phone system re-set. could u please tell me how to re-set my phone so that i can do it on my own every time this problem happen?

please try to go to messaging>options>settings>text message
1) make sure you have a defined message center for your present sim network 2) check preferred connection, must be gsm/3g
for item 1, the message center should contain a number : country code+your mobile network prefix

Wats your service provider name.
please check the sms centre number in sms setting. Is it right ask from your customer care
if you put right number then then i hope your is solved. If does not work query again bye

I m sending sms from my sony ericsson xperia X1 but it can't be sent because the pop-up windows appears & shows message sending failed? Is this a softwares problem ?

sounds more like a sms settings problem, try checking the service center number is correct for your sms. or you could contact your network provider and get them to send you the settings for it. hope this helps

It is because, you are not using the right SMS center no. Collect it from your service operator. Previously, you might be using other operator's sim. Now you just go to your messge settings and then go to text message, then select the right "message center number in use" and save it and start sending SMS again.

I can not send SMS message. SMS Message Center Number Error

I had the same problem and came to this site for help but the solutions didn't solve the problem of "cannot send text message" on htc touch hd. All service numbers correct. Went to START/SETTINGS/CONNECTIONS/ADVANCED NETWORK/SMS SERVICE then changed from "gprs" to "gprs preferred". Double checked and had reverted to "GSM" but sms now works - finally!!! Hope this helps.

Do you have enough balance to send sms.

If yes, the make sure to check the message center number is being used correctly on your phone.

Dude,

Call BSNL and they will send the required settings via sms.

Cant send sms on nokia 2688

Do you want to sent mms/sms. for sending mms you need to suscribe from your operator and save mms settings on your mobile.
For sms check your message center number with your network provider and input the number in your message setting option.

Nokia 6288 will not send multimedia txt

If you are sending it via bluetooth,
ensure you have enough free phone memory.

If you are sending the stuff via MMS,
Ensure that the image is of appropriate memory size.

Also, tell me, by what method/way are you sending the image, so that I can help you better.

Nokia 6600 : not able to send SMS

selct the memory to memory card (ie message memory) u are saying 15 mb is free in memory card but what about the phone memory.. got to message > options >settings>other settings> then select memory in use select phone meory and try to resend message again
