Drivers without having to use Driver Det.

keeping it simple-- all mice load with windows drivers first so if your mouse is not working in the most basic mode on multiple pcs the nthe mouse is dead. contact logitech for out of warranty credit.

Labtec wireless desktop.

Could be radio interference from somewhere. I tracked my similar mouse problem down to emissions from the ethernet adapter that connects over the house mains wiring. Try the using the mouse close to the receiver, if it works ok interference is likely.

Labtec optical mouse

Is this a wireless mouse? If so, plug the USB connector into your computer. The pc should detect it and install the drivers automatically. Then there should be a button on the bottom of the mouse, press it, then press the button on the USB connector. This establishes a connection between the mouse and connector.
