You didn't supply the Make, Model of Laptop or the OS you are using?Remove ALL media, CD, DVD, USB, Unplug , remove battery, plug in , If you can do a restore/recovery procedure. If that fails, open the laptop and reseat the HDD and Memory Mods. I don't know how old your laptop is , Can you open the BIOS? Is the CMOS battery good? Have you tried a OS Repair Disk? Hello,

Do you lost windows password and usename?

You can recover windows password and usename by the following steps,

Step1.Download
Smartkey Windows Password Recovery from recoverlostpassword.com and decompress it on that PC. There is a .ISO file. Burn the .ISO file to CD or USB Flash Driver.
Step2.Get out the newly created CD or USB Flash Driver and insert it to the locked computer.

Step3. Re-boot the locked computer and then follow the process of instructions. Just after a few steps, the old password will be removed.

My acer aspire 5720z will not start up,ive tries pressing f8 on start up but it will not accept my password, and ive tried f10 on start up and still no luck. i just get a black screen. please help, thanks

hi.
if a (any version of) windows don't start up or got password on log in window, the best way is to
put the windows installation disk and let the notebook boot from the disk and then choosing "Repair my Windows" option.
this work is the safest way to solve the problem.
however there are many faster ways to do this but they may greatly harm your notebook!

Dell 1525 startup problem

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Please check if you have used any automatic update from the Microsoft. If so, then please switch it off, unplug and then re plug it. Now switch it on, press F8 key and select ‘safe mode with dos prompt’. On start up run c:\windows\explorer.exe. It will start window in safe mode. Then run the Dell Support Centre and run automatic programme. Restart the Dell Operating System once completed. You can download the entire programme from the following link---
