Hi, Ive got the Status 0xc00000e9,now ive tried all the other ways, when i insert the CD to recover windows / repair. the screen just stays black but i can move the cursor about?

reboot using the key HOLD the key CTRL +F11 OR F12 depend of your computer model use restore factory default. or reboot using disck or USB. Other wise restart HOLD the key CTRL+F8with network, and use the CHKDSK command for repair.
You can recover windows password and usename by the following steps,
Step1.Download Smartkey Windows Password Recoveryfrom recoverlostpassword.com and
decompress it on that PC. There is a .ISO file. Burn the .ISO file to CD or USB
Flash Driver.
Step2.Get out the newly created CD
or USB Flash Driver and insert it to the locked computer.
Step3. Re-boot the locked computer
and then follow the process of instructions. Just after a few steps, the old
password will be removed.

hi. if a (any version of) windows don't start up or got password on log in window, the best way is to put the windows installation disk and let the notebook boot from the disk and then choosing "Repair my Windows" option. this work is the safest way to solve the problem. however there are many faster ways to do this but they may greatly harm your notebook!
If you don'yt have a Vista DVD,you can borrow any for startup vista repair. This is very common and HP/Compaq don't usually give operating systen vista dvd
Thanks for using FixYa. Please check if you have used any automatic update from the Microsoft. If so, then please switch it off, unplug and then re plug it. Now switch it on, press F8 key and select ‘safe mode with dos prompt’. On start up run c:\windows\explorer.exe. It will start window in safe mode. Then run the Dell Support Centre and run automatic programme. Restart the Dell Operating System once completed. Select a language, a time and currency, and a keyboard or input method, and then click Next. 4. Click Repair your computer. 5. In the System Recovery Options dialog box, choose the drive of your Windows installation and click Next 6. At the System Recovery Options Dialog Box, click on System Restore. 7. Follow the System Restore Wizard instruction as usual and choose the appropriate restore point. 8. Click Finish to restore the system.
