No rattle.... Don't think anything is lose. Just a humming noise with no movementNo rattle.... Don't think anything is lose. Just a humming noise with no movement
Is it humming like a stuck motor or rattling, like a loose fan. If it's rattling, the fan could eith be loose on the motor or, the center hub could have broken loose.
Check the breakers and look for a reset. It sounds like the motor is only getting 1/2 the voltage it needs. If that isn't the problem, you need a new motor. Get the information from the motor tag and find one online for price comparisons. Some dealers will nail you with triple parts cost, just because it's hot.Check the breakers and look for a reset. If the unit does not spin correctly, this is usually an indication that the unit can also not drain. The unit will not spin if it senses a blockage or issue with the drain lines and/or pump. Try to check the drain lines in the back of the unit for any issue, and then see if you have an access panel to get to the coin trap or drain pump itself. Often socks and debris will clog up in this area and cause your problems.
sound as though the drain pump has something hitting the impeller making the clicking noise, and the filter basket next to the pump is blocked by debris and not letting it drain
