I would nt recommend resetting the router.

Please follow the steps on a computer connected to the router so as to check the network key:

1. Open the browser(Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox).
2. Access the router usually http://192.168.0.1 else try http://www.routerlogin.com
3. Login to the router with the Username as admin and password as password (unless you have changed it).
4. Click on Wireless Settings'(under Setup) from the left menu.
5. Check if 'WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy)' or 'WPA-PSK (Wi-Fi Protected Access Pre-Shared Key)' is selected under 'Security Options'.
6. If WPA-PSK is selected, copy the code entered in the passphrase.
7. If WEP is selected, copy the code entered in the key that has been checked.

This is the code required for connecting the wireless computer to the
routers' wireless network.

In some cases, for security reasons the passphrase might show as asterisks. In this case type a new password and click apply. You will then have to use the same password for all the wireless devices connecting to the network.
I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue.

If I have helped you, please help me, and rate this suggestion the highest FixYa rating. If you cannot rate this post with the highest rating, then please comment to this post and I will try to help you further.

Anand

Just hit the reset button for approximately 30 seconds on the router. This will reset the password. Unfortunately, it will also reset all the wireless settings.

Just go to the wireless settings in the router and enter an encryption and name, then just go to the itouch wireless settings and enter in the same information.

I just switched to a different internet provider. Alexa says she is having trouble connecting. What should I do?

You probably need to connect to your new wireless router.

Open the Alexa app.
In the Alexa app, open the left navigation panel and then select Settings.
Select your device and then select Update Wi-Fi. If you're adding a new device to your account, select Set up a new device instead.
On your Echo device, press and hold the Action button for five seconds. The light ring changes to orange, and your mobile device connects to your Echo device. A list of available Wi-Fi networks appear in the app.
Note: The Alexa app may ask you to manually connect your device to your Echo device through your Wi-Fi settings.
Select your Wi-Fi network and enter the network password (if required). If you don't see your Wi-Fi network, scroll down and select Add a Network (for hidden networks) or Rescan.
Optional - Save your Wi-Fi password to Amazon: Any Wi-Fi passwords saved during setup automatically appear when you connect a new Alexa device to the same Wi-Fi network. The password is also remembered if you switch between saved Wi-Fi networks. For more information, go to Saving Your Wi-Fi Passwords to Amazon FAQs.
Optional - Connect to a public network: Enter any required information if you are connecting to a public network that requires a web browser to sign in, like a school or hotel. The information could be a pre-shared password, room number, or just a button to accept conditions for using the network. This information cannot be saved to Amazon. Contact the network owner for more information.
Select Connect. After your device connects to your Wi-Fi network, a confirmation message appears in the app.

Cant get any connection with wi-fi on my itouch? and i dont know how to get it!

Click on the "Settings" app. You'll see a "Wi-Fi" setting at the top, make sure it's turned on.

You'll need to be near a WiFi network. If you don't have one in your home, you'll need to get a router with WiFi. If you just want to test your iPod Touch with WiFi, go to some heavily populated area, it's likely that someone will have a WiFi network that doesn't require a password. Apartment complex parking lots are good places to try this.

Apple ipod itouch connection to wireless internet

don't let the iTouch connect to the wi-fi network it detected automatically - try setting up a new wi-fi network from scratch.
the setup screens will ask for network name (the SSID) the security protocol (probably WPA-PSK if you are having all this trouble) and the password (pre shared key)

should be all you need - good luck
