When was the last time you checked the dryer vent and tube leading out of the home? Move the dryer away from the wall. With the dryer unplugged remove the duct from the wall attachment. Use a vacume hose to reach as far into the wall vent as possible sucking out any debris. Do the same with the hose on the back of the dryer. If there's alot or it's been a very long time since it's been done, I'd suggest consulting a professional. Mine was so bad when I moved into my place, birds had nested in there. Ew

Dd you try to unscrew the larger lint trap underneath the lint cup collector. My serivce person showed me how to do this and after a year I cleaned it out and was surprised how much lint was caught in there. My dryer was not heating and drying quickly, this helped the problem.

SOURCE: Bosch condensation dryer model WTL5400vc. lint filter alarm

there is a reservoir in the base of the dryer which holds some condensing water prior to the pump pumping it to the holding tank at the top this has a float swith to tell the pump to come on and drain water to top tank this is probably stuck in the on position so the machine thinks it is always full of water and its waiting for you to empty it,you need to remove side panel and remove flost switch to clean, remove condenser and put youre hand in back of unit if its still very wet in there thats the problem should be bone dry at end of cycle.

hope this helps

SOURCE: Lint Filter Light comes on and cycle is interupted

I just found that the filter itself was not allowing airflow- I tested by blowing through it with my mouth- no airflow. I cleaned it with a high pressure air hose and noticed that the flow is much better now. I cleaned it by hand several times, and washing in water (which may have made theproblem).

Bosch Maxx7 sensitive - WTV74100ME/15 - stop after 1 minute , 3 beeps all the time , flushing lights together for heat and open door icon.

The issue you are experiencing with your Bosch Maxx7 sensitive dryer could indeed be related to a faulty heat sensor or a clogged vent. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:
  1. Check the vent: Ensure that the dryer vent hose is not clogged or blocked. A blocked vent can prevent hot air from circulating in the dryer and trigger the overheat sensor to shut down the machine.
  2. Clean the lint filter: Remove the lint filter and clean it thoroughly. A clogged lint filter can also cause the dryer to overheat and shut down.
  3. Check the heating element: If the heating element is faulty, the dryer may not heat properly or may overheat and trigger the sensor to shut down the machine.
  4. Reset the machine: Turn off the power to the dryer for a few minutes and then turn it back on. This may reset the machine and resolve the issue.
If none of these troubleshooting steps resolve the issue, it may be best to contact a qualified technician to inspect and repair the machine.

My dryer runs for several minutes, then starts beeping and an error code E: 01 is displayed. I've tried unplugging it for 30 minutes, but that was no help. Any ideas?

Hello,

This means that the dryer is not able to exhaust correctly. Often times this is caused by kinked or blocked vent behind the dryer. If that looks ok, the vent in the wall may need to be cleaned. In this case or in most a professional dryer vent cleaner would be needed to clean the dryer vent.

One last thing you can check is the lint screen. On Bosch dryers the lint filter will become clogged from the dryer sheets. Remove the lint filter and run water through it. If water runs through, the lint filter is good.

I know this unit well and can assists you with any repair related question you have.

If you are absolutely sure that the vent is perfectly clear, then the device that shuts off unit due to overheating is going off prematurely. Go to attached site for part involved and get a new one. Search Over 2 1 Million Appliance Parts

Turn dryer on and it starts to heat up and then the heat stops and within about 2-3 minutes will start to heat up and then the heating up stops.

Clean out the exhaust vent tubing really good.. A moister sensor will detect any build up of lint and shut the heat off

Dryer stops running

Sounds like control board issues. You can look up the code on the internet with your model number.

Hotpoint dryer

Completely disassemble your vent from the dryer to where it exits the building. Clean out all lint. Disconnect the dryer from the electrical service and check for lint build up inside the machine. This lint build up usually makes the motor shut down on it thermal overload. Check the motor also to see if the air vents on it are blocked with lint. If no lint is present, the motor or the start relay need to be replaced.

Lint Filter

hi there,

i can understand your frustration. i have reviewed the information that i have from Bosch and they indicate that the lint filter indicator light should only come on as a reminder but should not shut off the dryer.

here is my recommendation and also a question:

the dryer is shutting off due to the fact that it's overheating. it's a safety precaution from the manufacturer and it's built in to prevent the lint collected in the lint filter, since it's highly flammable.

check the venting in the back or side, wherever it was installed.
the vent tube is often the cause for the dyer to stop functioning.
if that turns out to be okay, the dyer is equiped with a sensor on the heater. it is possible that it's opening due to the heat generated by the dryer that has nowhere to go.

does the display show any error messages?

can you tell me what they are?

thanks again

Dryer runs for 5 minutes then stops

look in the vent line for a small disk shaped overload with two wires coming out of it. it may be bad. also check for a lint build-up in the exhaust line out of the blower. check the damper outlet going out of the house for a build-up of lint.
