Cd and speakers, nothing will work. what am i doing wrong and what should i recheck again. i have cable television.

Recheck your cables, particularly the VGA cable, it may not be seated well. Also, make sure the AC cord is fully seated at both ends since all modern monitors will put a warning on the screen even with no video (or sync) input to notify you that the monitor is ready but has no input. If nothing works, you may be the victim of a switching power supply in the monitor that will not start up any more.

Tries tv and cables or satalites services boxes unplug,replug it back like about an hour later for tv to do a whole tv set resetting itself back to factory setting and those services boxes rebooting and updating it software.Recheck all tv wires connections and sevices boxes for input cables wires for lose cables wire connections and damages connections cables wires.These steps should help,for stopping the volume just suddenly raise up and out of control for no apperance reasons.

Recheck all AV cables connections?Common problems,take all the AV cables connections aparts and clean it replug it in or AV cables are damage and shorted,change the AV cables.

Unless there is something wrong with the head unit, there must be a shorted connection. Try doing the same with no speakers plugged in and see if the protection breaker trips. If it does not, then one of your speaker cables is shorted. Try installing the cables one by one, and test it, to see which one is at fault. Another remote possibility, is that one of the speakers is blown, or has a load lower than what the amp will accept.

Nor did you say what you found when you checked the speaker wires. If you found nothing you still need to investigate further.

When you make a change and things go south you have to start UN-making the change to find out what went wrong.

Faint sound overall usually means a Tape Monitor or Mute function is active.

Hi there bud , Are you sure you are using the RCA cables correctly? and not just connecting the speakers into the T.V?

DOES THE RADIO PLAY? HERE ARE THE FACTORY WIRING COLORS FOR THE RADIO HARNESS, RECHECK YOUR WORK. IF U FIND NOTHING THEN IF THE RADIO PLAYS THE CD PLAYER IS DEFECTIVE, IT HAPPENS BELIEVE ME.

If you followed the instructions correctly, then the amp must be defective. This is sort of simple.

My generic suggestions:
You have the power, the ground, the outputs to the speakers, and then the input.

Make sure that none of the speaker wires are somehow being grounded. Make sure that nothing is shorted that feeds the speakers.

Try another AV cable, recheck your connections and just try it straight to the TV first without using the sound system and see what happens.

Try all of the spaekers on the channel you know works. If all are fine, swap the speaker lines to test them. Is the input a DVD player on RCA cables? A bad signal cable from a component can be a source for problem. Connect the speakers directly to the amp(if possible) bypassing the sub box. If all works without the box, suspect bad crossover or in the self-powered boxes a bad amp.
