OK, I've figured it out! There's something wrong with the control chip, so if you don't have it under warranty, here's what you can do:
1. Turn off the monitor
2. Unscrew the face of the monitor
3. Remove the bottom part of the face from the backside, so you can see the chip
(the control chip is located on the face of the monitor, under the buttons)
4. You will see a small white connector about 5mm wide, UNPLUGG it
5. Put the small cable that you've unconnected under the front, so you can close the monitor back
6. Close the monitor and plug it back in

That's it. You won't be able to change your settings (they autoadjust anyway), but you won't have to throw the monitor away!

Peace.

Probably not only because I found several forums and the same claim as is my case .. initially function to adjust the brightness automatically .. 100% ... like I keep the button pressed continuously .....

Check out this link below for a PDF manual for your monitor. You can also update your drivers. There is a support here also. Just copy and paste into your browser.

Hope this helps. Let me know if I can help you with anything else.

Adjustment pop up's in middle of screen

You should have a p0rogram installed that can do it. It might be listed under samsung in your programs. If not there, look in your video settings.
