No backlight on Samsung 710N LCD Monitor
No, it is not easy to change the backlight on an LCD panel. The backlight is an integrated part of the LCD panel itself. The backlight for LCD monitors is also model and manufacturer specific, so there's no easy place to order a backlight to do it yourself. The good news is that your Samsung monitor should come standard with a 3 year warranty, so if it's less than 3 years old, you can call Samsung and they'll repair/replace it for free. If it's over 3 years old, then you may need to repalce the monitor... or pay to have it repaired.
