No sound coming from speakers. details below.

ASUS PC...Windows 10...Analog connector for speakers...Drivers uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times...speaker hardware uninstalled and according to my os all of the drivers are up to date and the hardware is working properly.installed multiple times as well. It even gives me volume line showing that there is indeed sound coming from speakers. Only one problem...There is zero sound coming from speakers. Can someone please assist me with this.. I'd really enjoy hearing my games instead of only watching them.

Did you set the speaker as the default devices? Besides of the driver issue, here are some settings you should remind:

HI,

Make sure you have your speakers plugged into the GREEN audio outlet on the PC.
Also test the speakers themselves by plugging them into an mp3 player or a smartphone and playing some music to ensure that the speakers work.

SOURCE: I have no sound coming from my pc speakers

First of check you havent mutted anything in the sound icon in the control panel.

If not then its most likely your sound card itself is the problem, if the sound card is built onto the motherboard disable it in the bios, if it is a seperate expansion card then check its in the slot properly, in both cases it would probably be wise to invest in a new one.

Why doesn't my internal "realtek" sound system have any sound?

Check that the speaker cable is plugged into the GREEN ringed "Speaker" jack (for a normal stereo sound set up). Check that the speaker isn't muted in system tray. Right click the speaker in the system tray. Click Volume Control Options and make sure you have the analog Realtek Audio selected - not any HDMI or Digital output. Open "Control Panel" in Windows. Open "Device Manager" found in the "Hardware and Sound" heading. Locate "Sound, Video.." Make sure there is no small icon over it to indicate that there is a problem. If there is, click the triangle to the left and open "Realtek.." Right click it and select properties. Click the Driver tab and then "Uninstall" If an option to remove files is presented - select it, too. Click OK to uninstall. Reboot if prompted. Allow Windows to find the "new" Realtek hardware and download drivers from Live Update. Sound should be restored. Make sure that you have selected Analog

I upgraded Windows 8.0 to 8.1 and now my speakers won't work. The computer sound is normal (lousy) but the speakers nada.

The most common issue with sound that worked previously, after an upgrade is either the drivers, or the settings for the drivers. Usually we end up uninstalling any software in "Programs and Features", "uninstall or change a program" that relates to the sound card. If there is none, next go to device manager and uninstall the driver from there, restart and let windows put it back. I'm curious by 'the computer sound is normal' what are you hearing that through if not the speakers? In this case it sounds like the 'settings' under volume control, or control panel, sound, are set to digital, and your speakers are analog. If you have more than one item in here, one is likely digital, ensure it's not enabled. Finally if there is a problem with the driver, it will show you an error, instead of a sound icon. Reinstall the driver. If you have an OEM PC, like dell, gateway, etc, the drivers you require should be on their homepages, it's helpful to know your pc's model #.

Sometimes I put mute on my Asus u52F and when I decide to turn mute off, my laptop wont make any sound...and it stays like that for a while, and suddenly the sound comes back.

Hi there,
This could indicate one of two things

1) There's a bad connection in the speakers or the wiring that connects to the speakers. 2) The sound card needs to be replaced. In this case you would uninstall the sound card drivers from the Start > Control Panel > Device Manager, reboot, then reinstall the sound card drivers from Asus's website.
Hope this helps.

Speakers work for just a second when windows starts up

Try to uninstall the sound card, shut your pc off, take the sound card off, attach it again and turn on the pc. Then reinstall the drivers and see whether the same problem occurs or not.

Thanks,
Mary
