SOURCE: side rails

I have a similar problem, but a different Simmons crib. I called the company that momof4girls unrecommended and they were VERY helpful, but they were not able to ship me the parts as Simmons discontinued this type of hardware in the early 90's. My crib has a headboard and footboard - the 2 side boards are able to slide up and down on aluminum slats (almost 3 feet long.) The aluminum slats are connected to the headboards with 8 bolts; what I needed to order replacements of are the plastic sliders that allow the sidewalls to go up and down on the aluminum bracket. Not only do they allow it to go up and down, but without them you are not able to assemble the sidewalls to the crib at all. I solved the issue buy purchasing L brackets at Lowes and permanently attaching the sidewalls to the headboard and footboard, but it made it so the sidewalls did not raise or lower. I am ok with that! However, if you do NOT have the aluminum slats, you may be out of luck. The spring for the bed attaches on the aluminum brackets, so even if you were able to bolt the 4 sides together, you still have to figure out a way to attach the spring for the mattress (which connects by sliding a hook into holes on the aluminum bracket... no room for bolts here.) I am rather surprised that the hardware for this crib is plastic and aluminum; the bed is HEAVY and it is very difficult to put together as the aluminum slider is easily bent and the plastic sliders are flimsy. I actually broke the plastic pieces during assembly. No wonder this hardware was discontinued! I called Simmons and asked if they had an "updating' kit... they do not. Good luck!

SOURCE: the foward and reverse button/slide does not lock

The locking ball spring is bad, you can remove the spring and stretch it to add tension to the spring so that the ball locks the trigger assembly in place. If you need more help post here and here is a web page for parts and books with diagrams.

Hi. I have just aquired an "IGNIS" chest freezer, model AFE 460/IG, class T. On the bottom right hand side of the freezer ther is a dial (from 0 to 3) which can be altered using a screwdriver...

Pretty sure that the slide is for winter and summer operation, you are rite, the 3 position is the cold level and the 3 lights (Yellow, Red, Green). the Yellow indicates a caution,"" not at temp or faulty""the Red indicates the unit is active and the Green indicates at temp and operating correct. This unit is old and not much information is available however I hope from my experience, that will help you, any further problems call Russ on 08 95230552.

Have a usa power lead want to fix a u.k plug to it but wires are two black one green

If you look at the power cord, one side will have ridges, and side will be smooth.
The one with the ridge is Neutral (same as Blue wire for Neutral used in Europe (White for US)), the smooth one is Line (same as Brown wire for Line (hot) used in Europe (Black for US). The Green is Earth safety Ground (same as Green with Yellow stripe as used in Europe).

How to install motor housing bracket on a jacuzzi pool pump motor or does it matter what side is up or down there are ridges on one side do the ridges go on top or bottom

The 'toothed' edge goes on top with the teeth facing towards the motor. You will also notice the small support arm in the plastic is narrower than in the other areas of the bracket. That lines up with the seal plates locating tabs so everything is then lined up correctly for the insertion into the housing.

I need to change the flasher relay on my 2000 A6 Quatro. I have removed the cover above the radio, to expose the hazard switch, but I cannot get the hazard switch out. How can I get the hazard switch out ?

The hazard switch is hard to get out. It has one clip on each side. By using a flat screwdriver on one side, and conciderable force, the whole thing came sliding out.

Gas filter change.  How to do it and where it's located?

The fuel filter is about 10 dollars. It is under the car on the drivers side just about even with the back of the drivers door. You MUST jack up the car a bit and put a safetly block of wood or cement block under the car in case the jack fails. Wiggle under the car and note the metal gas line runing from the tank in the back of the car up to the front. Along the way is a metal "can" about the size of a Red Bull can. You must loosen the hose clamp that holds it to the body of the car with a slotted screwdriver. Then try to pull off the rubber gas line hose from each end. This requires some effort. On my 2001 each hose end is held onto the filter by a clip that must be pressed down on each side to "open" the clip so it will slide off the ridge on the filter. When installing the new filter BE SURE to squeeze this clip again and make sure it is grabbing the ridge on the filter otherwise it will leak. Test by gently pulling on the rubber hose. It should not come off the filter.

When disconnecting the filter expect to get some gas on your hands and arms.

Good luck.

How do you get the battery out of the wireless mouse? V200

Look at the mouse. Look between the Logitech logo and the scroll wheel. As you go away from the logo, you'll notice and feel a small set of raised lines, like ridges. With the mouse on the table , put your middle finger on the left side of the mouse and your thumb on the right side. Now with your index finger on those ridges firmly, gently apply pressure so you know you have a firm grasp of the ridges. Now with your finger just slide the cover towards your hand. Should be two AA batteries inside. Now that you know how you can do it however is easiest. I just do it that way because my right hand is paralyzed and it's easiest that way. If I solved your problem PLEASE rate this as fixed. If you need more help with this just add a comment and I'll be glad to help you further. Thanks. Hope I explained it well enough.Basically just grab the mouse and slide the cover off. Please don't forget to rate as fixed. Thanks.
