Change combination on a presto lock on a briefcase

Use Combination To Release Button--Factory is 00

Step 1:
Locate the reset button, usually placed to the side of the combination dials.

Step 2:
Press the reset button and hold it while rotating the number dials to the desired combination.

Step 3:
Release the reset button after you set the numbers to the new combination.

I couldn't find the manual for your particular briefcase, but please read the instructions on the attached link. It should help you since most briefcase combination locks work the same. Hope it helps.

How to Change the Lock Combination on Briefcase

By frequently resetting your lock combination, you decrease the chance that someone will break into your luggage.
If someone watches you open your luggage at baggage claim while going through security or at a hotel, they may break into your luggage when they encounter you on another leg of your journey.
Change your lock after every major flight or trip to help keep your items safe.
Avoid easy to guess passwords, as well, such as sequential numbers, all the same number or birthdays.

Open your lock by inputting the current combination.
New Prestolocks have a factory set combination of "0-0-0."
Turn the shackle 180 degrees.
Press the shackle down and turn it 90 degrees to the left or right.
Input the new combination.
Move the shackle 90 degrees so that it is 180 degrees from its locked position.
Take your hand off the shackle and pull it out.
Turn it back to the locked position.

Push the shackle into the lock and turn at least one of the lock's dials.
Write down your new combination.
Keep this paper in a safe place for future reference.

You cannot reset the lock unless you know the combination. You would need someone to pick the lock, like a locksmith and then once it's open you can reset the lock with a new combination.

This is how you generally change the combo on a briefcase

1. With the briefcase closed put int the combination
2. Slide the bottons in the opposite direction than you usally do to open it.
3. Now set your new password.
4. Slide the buttons back into place.
5. If it dosent work the first time try it a few times
6. If it fails try reposting with more specific model information about your briefcase

1 Turn the lock to the correct combination and open the briefcase.

2 Look at the lock. There should be one or two pins that you can slide with your fingers. If there is one, simply push it in. If there are two, push them together. It may be the same button you use to open the case.

3 Change the lock to an easy-to-remember value, such as 000 or 123, to test the lock. Release the pin.

4 Close the briefcase and turn the lock to another value. It should not open. Now turn it to the test combination. It should open right up.

5 Repeat Steps 2 and 3, but this time choose a number that will be easy for you to remember, but hard for someone else to guess. Write down your new combination and keep it somewhere safe.

When you open the briefcase on the inside to the right of where the combination is in the center there is a metal lever sticking out.
Push this lever to the left and hold it there while you change the combination numbers.

When you let the lever spring back to it's normal position, the numbers set will be the new combination.
