How do you know it's not the tele, please? That might be entirely true and what test did you make?

SOURCE: Humax Tivo will not record to DVD

After the update to 1.15 I had to delete EVERY recording on the unit. After that, any new recordings would burn just fine. However, some have found that same failure even after a hard reboot (repower). Called Humax level-1 support and they suggested a replacement unit so I swapped it out. But I've since learned that TiVo "pushes" a DVD firmware patch (possible supplied by Humax) from 1.08 to 1.15 and that patch is the culprit. That patch is suppose to make the DVD burn at a higher spin rate. After talking with level-2 Humax support they heard of the problem and said "the unit is working as designed", meaning, the DVD drive manufacturer specs say the drive is capable of a faster burn rate. So now I have Humax DTR800 #2 and so-far-so-good, but TiVo hasn't pushed the patch onto the box yet!

SOURCE: record and watch different channels with freesat

I believe that the Humax can only output 1 channel and because it has no built in hdd and twin channel capabilty that is all you can record 1 channel (unlike sky +/sky HD) so that means also that unless you watch a different source (like the picture from your aerial (terrestial channels)) you are stuck with having to watch the channel you record

SOURCE: No colour when I record using the Dazzle DVD Recorder.

Get a program called amcap and you also need pinnacle studio first open pinnacle studio then go to capture then if your using 12 dv then open amcap an error will come up then go to options then video filter settings or something then where it says pal or ntsc change it to secam b then go to pinnacle studio and look at the preview, it is in color then when you start recording it goes black and white again so open amcap go to options then video capture filter then change secam to ntsc then apply then go to secam b again then it will be recording in color then you have to cut out the black and white in pinnacle studio or any other video editing program I use sony vegas pro 9 then search tutorials on the program but it is easy in any program really.

SOURCE: I ws using my humax to watch a programme, when the picture froze.

It can sometimes happen if the signal level drops & the TV digital decoder cannot pick up the strength of the signal when the transmission is back to normal. Switching on & off again resets the processing again. This is a similar effect that can happen with cable or sky transmissions also, it acts the smae way as sometimes having to re-boot your PC if that should crash. It is not necessarily a fault with the TV.

Testimonial: "Sounds logical, but why did not the TV digital signal also crash? "

SOURCE: humax digital recorder picture freeze every 10 minutes

Humax are having problems and are starting to send out software upgrades (night-time updates) - seems to be related to the new formats on the MUXs for the digital switch-over. Our 9150T hasn't been fixed yet but due any day (I hope)

It reads: The file cannot be changed

It's possible that there may be a software issue with your TV or Humax box that's causing this problem. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try: Update the firmware: Check if there is any firmware update available for your TV or Humax box, and if there is, install it. This can often fix any bugs or issues that may be causing the problem. Check the file format: Make sure that the recorded programs are in a supported file format. Some TVs and media players may not support certain file formats, which can cause playback issues. Reset the TV or Humax box: Try resetting the TV or Humax box to its default settings. This can sometimes resolve any software issues that may be causing the problem. Contact support: If the issue persists, you may need to contact the manufacturer's customer support for further assistance. They may be able to provide additional troubleshooting steps or suggest a repair or replacement if necessary.

How do I get my humax fvp4000 box to store the recordings in alphabetic order. It currently has the last recording first on the list.

Having looked at the manual it doesn't look like there is any option to change it to that. It will simply list them in the order they were recorded. With the last first.

I only have one scart outlet on my tv my ariel is in the wall and mthen into my tv but its just picking up tv programmes on my humax recorder and not through my tv

The aerial should first go to the Humax, then from the Humax to the TV. Make sure power-saving is turned off on the Humax, otherwise it will not pass the aerial signal to the TV when the Humax is in standby.

If ypou want to use Humax power-saving, the aerial must be split so that one feed goes to the Humax and another to the TV.

Why I can't get my machine to record more than one programme, i.e. it will not record a series of programmes?

In the Recording menu of the Humax PVR-9300T (or (9200T), if the start or end times are set to anything other than "On Time", series recording is disabled.

How are you changing from recorded to TV? If you are switching the TV input, it could be because it's looking first for analogue TV stations but there are none any more, so it then reverts to the SCART and shows the Humax satellite station. If you are just pressing STOP on the Humax then you shouldn't have a problem, but if you do have the problem then the Humax must be faulty.

Note that this type of device is designed to be left on at all times, so should not be switched off each night. I suspect that it has some slight corruption in the user-settings, so a factory reset may be required.
