I recently purchased a singer 31-15 with table electric motor the serial number that is on the machine I can not find any info on GC169388

Make sure the clutch motor is powering up. make sure voltage toggle switch is on 110v and not 220v. Also rotation set correctly. Independently, make sure the motor runs. With your hands and motor belt disengaged, attempt to turn the handwheel toward you. If it is moving, then make sure motor is running. It handwheel does not turn it could be the machine. Make sure the stitch length dial is set at 2 or 3 and not 0 or 5. That could be that problem as well.
