How to take fix an xbox 360

Hello, If you have no scratches on the disc and you are still having issues, then chances are that your xbox360 DVD/CD reader is failing.
You can go to xboxlive.com and check your warranty status. If it is under warranty you can open a case online that they will send you a box so you can ship your xbox back to Microsoft for repair.

It's a laser fault. You need to call Xbox to fix the issue. It would cost you between 75-200 bucks.

yeah this is a comon problem with the laser dying on the xbox 360 your best bet is to call this number and get them to change it free of charge 0800 587 1102 it will take around a week to sort but you will have no money to pay and it will be returned fixed

every body tells me to call microsoft about it but here what you do ok u need a new dvd drive and you can buy on e brand new on ebay for like 30 bucks i hade the same prob and then you gotta update your dvd drive and flash it

Are you trying to play HD-DVD with out the XBOX HD Player?

Did you get the disc or the console fixed. If it gives u the error saying please insert this disc ito an xbox 360 console, then blow on it and clean everything.
If its a dif error tell me. I no how to fix a couple red-ring problems.

i cant see any real serious damage being caused by inserting 2 discs, however we are talking about the xbox 360 here and the disc drives have had many problems amungst all xbox versions.

Regardless of your warrenty the xbox repair center should fix your xbox free of charge for you providing you dont tell them that your son may of caused the problem. because whether he did or not, they will assume he did.

It could just be a coincidence this happened when the 2 discs were inserted or it could of actually caused the problem.

if you really want to try and fix this yourself, check the dvd drive and make sure that the spindles center and the top disc latching part are correctly alligned.

the top part should be loose and will move freely, the main lower spindle near the laser should not spin so freely and if you spin it you shoul dbe able to feel if it is firmly attached to the motor or not.
