This may be tough, but if you can open Control Panel, double click Regional and Language settings. Click on Languages tab, this will be the center tab, then click on the Details button. In the next window click on Add. Scroll through the list and double click English (United States). If everything is in Chinese, you will probably be out of luck. Find an XP cd and reinstall the OS. There should be a Certificate of Authenticity on the side or back of the computer to reactivate

You Can Use the Google translation http://translate.google.com/ or Bing translation http://www.microsofttranslator.com/ to translate the common words about camera menu to the language of your camera now (As some LANGUAGE can't be type by latter such as Chinese, Japanese and so on), and to make a right setting.

Google translator there is a few free translators

Go to google translate and press the menu button on your camera. Type in language and translate into english. You should be able to highlight the proper sub menu to change the setting from there.

1.find a japanese person and ask him to do it for you
2.find an english manual and follow the same steps
3.find an online translator and try to translate the steps

(those are working if your camera support english language)

Dont purchase cameras with japanese language in future if they dont provide translation in english..
