I have 2000 Chevy Cavalier. I am needing to air my tire, but I am not sure how to read the air gauge and which is recommended for my car?
Look on the sidewall of your tire, it shows max pressure. Depends on type of tire and load. Do not go over max. Also take it to any service station, tire retailer or,walmart they will uselly check it for free.
32 to 35 p.s.i depends on the gauge how you read it count the lines in between the numbers ex.. I 20 - - - -25 - - - - 30 - - - - 35 I Look at the number that then count the line by one. Make sure you push the number bar all the way in you should not see any numbers. Push the gauge in the tire valve make sure you hear no air this my take some time to do so. Take your time and you will do fine. ( EX... 25 ---- 30 ---D the number 30 is close to the gauge and the number 25 is far away from the gauge. I used the letter D for the end of the gauge it read 34 p.s.i. Read the numbers between the line. I used 4 lines here and the numbers by 5. The number 30 then count the lines by one )
It Will Say Max Psi On Your Tire Probably Between 35-44 If You Cant Find It Get It Around 35 Thats The Line Halfway Between The 30 and 40.
