Does it type " by any chance when you press the @ key? if so this is usually because keyboard input is set to the wrong language in the regional & language settings are wrong in the control panel. try pressing the left alt key & shift at same time first this is a quick key to change between input languages.

Programming help

Hi Leanne,
It depends which line it is on.
The codes for the lines are:
132 line 1
232 line 2
332 line 3
432 line 4

Turn the key to program mode

Type the line number (eg if VAT is on 3rd line down, type 332)

Press SUBTOTAL

Type the new details for that line using the programming layout in your book under the 'entering characters' section. You need to use the numbers at the left side, not the normal number pad. Eg 5/0 is above the clear key. To switch between the top and bottom numbers on the key, use CAPS or SHIFT. If you make a mistake while entering, the decimal point button will delete the last character.

Press 00 (the double zero button)

Press CASH

Press SUBTOTAL

Turn the key back to reg mode, and try printing a receipt. Note - you might have to print two receipts before you see the change.

Hope this helps. If you have any problems, just let me know.

The text dictionary keeps giving me the wrong words and i cant change, how do you knock it off. the phones a samsung d900i

Using T9 mode
T9 is a predictive text input mode that allows you to
key in any character using single keystrokes.
Entering a word in T9 mode
1. Press [2] to [9] to start entering a word. Press
each key once for each letter.
For example, press [4], [3], [5], [5], and [6] to
enter HELLO in T9 mode.
T9 predicts the word that you are typing, and it
may change with each key that you press.
2. Enter the whole word before editing or deleting
characters.
3. When the word displays correctly, go to step 4.
Otherwise, press [0] to display alternative word
choices for the keys that you have pressed.
For example, OF and ME use [6] and [3].
4. Press [ ] to insert a space and enter the next
word.
Other T9 mode operations
• Press [1] to enter periods or apostrophes
automatically.
• Press [ ] to change case. Lower case (No
indicator), Initial capital ( ), and Capital lock ( )
are available.
• Press [ ] to insert a space.
• Press the Navigation keys to move the cursor.
• Press [C] to delete characters one by one. Press
and hold [C] to clear the display.
Adding a new word to the T9 dictionary
This feature may not be available for some languages.
1. Enter the word that you want to add.
2. Press [0] to display alternative words for your key
presses. When there are no more alternative
words, Spell displays on the bottom line.
3. Press <Spell>.
4. Enter the word you want using ABC mode and
press <OK>.

Datalogic Heron D130 (Barcode Reader) Header setup

Whether or not you can set this feature depends on which interface type you are using if you are using wedge interface then the procedure is described below: The extended Header/Terminator keys for Wedge Interface users can be customized by defining them through a simple keyboard setting procedure. For example, the Numeric Keypad keys can be set for use as Headers or Terminators by substituting the default extended keys using this procedure. The type of computer or terminal must be selected before activating the keyboard setting command. Press and release a key to set it. Some characters may require more than one key pressed simultaneously during normal use (refer to the manual of your PC or terminal for keyboard use). The exact sequence must be indicated to the reader in this case pressing and releasing the different keys. Example: If one has to press the "Shift" and "4" keys simultaneously on the keyboard to transmit the character "$" to the video, to set the "$", press and release "Shift" then press and release "4". Each pressed and released key must generate an acoustic signal on the reader, otherwise repress the key. Never press more than one key at the same time, even if this corresponds to the normal use of your keyboard. Press "Backspace" to correct a wrong key entry. In this case the reader emits 2 beeps. Note: "CAPS LOCK" and "NUM LOCK" must be off before starting the keyboard setting procedure. "SHIFT" must be repressed for each character and cannot be substituted by "CAPS LOCK". Check page 31-33 of the "heron reference manual", downloadable near the bottom of this link page; http://www.datalogic.com/_vti_g2_dwnlDett.aspx?idCF=1&idC=44&rpstry=13_ Hope this helps :)
