Hp pavilion dx6 laptop screen. there's blotches on the center of screen, is it the screen itself or something wrong in the video card?

They are a bunch of small circular brown spots or blotches on the center of screen.

If the blotches never move when you change applications, then the screen is faulty. Screens can be found online and you might be able to find a You Tube video showing you how to change it. Just google replacement laptop screens and you'll find many places to get a new one.

HP Pavilion dv1000 screen has gone extremely dim. changed the inverter and nothing. connected to an external monitor and nothing. what is wrong? HELP PLEASE!

Two things: video card issue or video card settings. Try to go to the power options configuration of your portable system. Adjust the brightness. If changes does not take effect on your portable's display as well as the external monitor, it is a video card issue. The last option of resolution is to re-install the video driver. Click the link below and choose the exact model of your computer. Try to download the video driver for your computer. Make sure that you have the correct driver for your operating system. If re-installing the video driver still fails, unfortunately you need to have your video card replaced. Usually the video card comes embedded on the motherboard. That means you have to have your whole board replaced.

Some time suddenly my screan be come white, spacially in opening time

Have the HP check the video card driver. having a plain white screen with no icons or wallpaper means there's something wrong with the video card driver or the hardware itself.

Screen has black blotches/spots

This could be due to a bad video card, but is much more likely to be a problem with your screen itself. What you described is likely to be caused by damaged or dead pixels in the screen. The cost of one is usually about half of the cost of the laptop itself, so you may want to consider buying a new laptop and salvage your data and other usable parts from this one.

HP Pavilion dv2000 black screen.

yep ...it seams that you mess with the grafic card ( vga driver ) ..probably on color register ..or some driver update ..and now it wont display image ...
either reinstall the pc ...and its probably the best ...or restore using cd .. cause if it was something wrong with your display ..it should work on the other monitor... it also might be a video card fail ...if after re-installation its the same ...its the video card..
if you are worried for the data on il ...just install windows without formating ...choose to install a new os in the old folder...

Showing a red line at the center on the monitor of my hp note book (dv2713tu). I think my video card or lcd panel is faulty. What might be the cause? If my video card/ lcd panel is to be replaced, Please...

FIRST OF ALL TRY CONNECTING YOUR NOTEBOOK TO ANOTHER MONITOR...THIS WILL TELL IF THE LCD SCREEN IS FAULTY OR YOUR VIDEO CARD. IF YOUR LCD SCREEN IS FAULTY AND YOU WANT TO DO IT YOURSELF http://www.insidemylaptop.com/remove-lcd-screen-inverter-board-hp-pavilion-dv9000-laptop/all-comments/ A VERY USEFUL SITE.SCREEN WOULD COME IN BETWEEN $150-200 YOU CAN CHECK AT EBAY FOR THE APPROX. PRICE,YOU CAN EVEN CALL THE HP COMPANY AND ASK FOR THE REVISED RATES THAT WILL GIVE YOU AN IDEA. IT IS NOT THAT EASY WITH THE VIDEO CARD BECAUSE IT'S USUALLY ATTACHED TO THE MOTHERBOARD AND CONSIDER THAT YOU HAVE TO SPEND MORE BUCKS THAN THE SCREEN FOR A GOOD VIDEO CARD. I WOULD STRONGLY RECOMMEND TO TAKE IT TO AN AUTHORIZED SERVICE CENTER.

Laptop screen was divided into 6 small parts

have the same problem. if updating the graphics driver doesnt work then it probably is the same as my problem.
HP service center said it's the graphics card or video card but since the video card is embedded in the motherboard, then you will have to replace the motherboard.
