Replacing the heating element should take care of the problem. Make sure you unplug the unit before installing the new one. Also you may want to take a photo of the wiring so you will know where they hook to.

Have a Miele G1220SC dishwasher. It recently developed a strange problem: when switching it on ALL program lights come on and the machine starts taking water. after a while it stops taking water and starts...

follow this steps and fix it. God bless you

Heating Element

If lights are flashing on the control panel, the heating element might have burned out. The heating element heats the water up to operating temperature. After a set amount of time if the temperature isn't reached a light on the control panel might start flashing. The heating element can be checked for continuity with an Ohm meter.

Heating Element Assembly

If lights are flashing on the control panel, the heating element assembly might have burned out. The heating element assembly heats the water up to operating temperature. After a set amount of time if the temperature isn't reached a light on the control panel might start flashing. The heating element assembly can be checked for continuity with an Ohm meter.

Check Fault Codes

If the display lights are flashing and there is an error code in the display window, check the wiring diagram and tech sheet in the dishwasher that will provide information on the fault.

Drain Pump

If lights are flashing on the control panel, the drain pump might not be working properly. For two-wire drain pump motors check them for continuity using an Ohm meter. If it's defective You'll need to replace it. Drain pumps are not repairable.

Touchpad and Control Panel

My idesit IWB5113 just keeps filling after starting the wash cycle, normal it inject some water then starts washing, my machine just keeps filling and doesn't seem to start the wash cycle, please help

It is possible that the water level sensor has failed and so does not detect to stop the inlet valve from filling. You can remove and check this level sensor normally it can be a damaged diaphragm and replace the same so that the program proceeds to the next stage to start the machinetips to see working of the machine;http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/washing-machines/a/7/1392/how-a-washing-machine-works.html

Kitchenaid KUDS02FRSS0 dishwasher. Stops mid-cycle, sometimes wash, sometimes rinse, sometimes dry. Must restart 4-5-6 times to get it to finish. When finally done dishes are clean, hot & dry....

Hi Dennis.

If the dishwasher is hanging on in the middle of the cycle it is usually the heating system. If the temperature of the water is going up after filling, then the element may be working. The element is tested using a multi meter set on Ohms to read impedance across the heater element contacts. If impedance is infinity (open-off limit), then the element is gone. If the element is OK, then the bi-metal thermostat or the fuse must be replaced. The heating assembly is located at the base of the appliance, behind the kick panel.

Behind the kick panel you should also find the tech sheet illustrating how to run the diagnostic cycle for this model. Run a diagnostic cycle to confirm that the problem is with the heating system. Drain, water sensor and inlet problems sometimes may also result in cycle not finishing.

You can find parts and diagrams for your dishwasher in this page.

Regards.

Idesit dishwasher

it sounds like the element isnt working properly.locate the element connections by removing the lower kick panel and turn the unit on to the drying cycle.use a volt meter and check the voltage.if you have voltage there than turn the circuit breaker off remove the wires to the element and check with the meter for continuity, let me know.
