SOURCE: I need a manual for

Most major manufacturers supply manuals online so if you were to log on to the manufacturer's web site, you may be pleasantly surprised as usually, if available, one is able to download, by model number, Customer Instruction Manuals, Dealer Network for spare part supplies as required.

The information is normally free of charge.

I hope this helps.

SOURCE: Got swan sm2060R microwave. Plugged it in clock is set but no functions working

test the power outlet plug some lamp desk if work is o.k if NOT reset the c. breaker. follow this stepFirst check is the main fuse of the unit. On countertop units, you will need to take the shell off. The fuse will be close to where the cord comes through into the unit. OTR units, this main fuse is usually behind the control panel or possibly behind the vent. Usually the fuse is obvious if blown, otherwise test with an OHM meter, if open, replace fuse.
Some brands will also have a thermal cut-off fuse in the incoming voltage line to the control board. Older Maytags and Samsungs have this fuse in it. This thermostat looking fuse is usually above the oven cavity somewhere under the outside shell. Sometimes you can get to it through the vent of OTR models. Test with an OHM meter, replace if open.
God bless you

My Swan Teasmade's light will not go on, so the kettle won't boil. I've tried moving the water pot around inside the holder, but nothing works.

If the light on your Swan Teasmade is not turning on and the kettle isn't boiling, there could be several reasons for this issue. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try to identify and potentially fix the problem:
  1. Check the Power Source:
    • Ensure that the Teasmade is properly plugged into a working power outlet. Try using a different outlet to rule out power supply issues.
  2. Inspect the Power Cord:
    • Examine the power cord for any visible damage or fraying. If you find any issues, it's important to replace the cord with a new one.
  3. Check the Fuse:
    • Teasmades usually have a fuse inside. Check if the fuse has blown. If it has, replace it with a fuse of the same rating.
  4. Water Level Sensor:
    • There might be an issue with the water level sensor. If the Teasmade doesn't detect water, it might not turn on. Clean the sensor area and ensure there are no blockages.
  5. Heating Element:
    • The heating element might be faulty. If the Teasmade is under warranty, contact the manufacturer for repairs or replacement. If not, you might need to take it to a professional repair service.
  6. Thermostat Issues:
    • The thermostat that controls the boiling temperature might be malfunctioning. This would require professional repair or replacement.
  7. Manufacturer Support:
    • If your Teasmade is still under warranty, it's best to contact the manufacturer's customer support for guidance and possible repairs. They might have specific troubleshooting steps tailored to your device.

Swan Vintage Teasmade model STM201N which randomly shuts itself down.

It sounds like your Swan Vintage Teasmade (model STM201N) may be experiencing a power issue that is causing it to randomly shut down. There could be a few different causes for this problem, such as:
  1. Overheating: The Teasmade could be overheating, causing a thermal shutdown to protect the internal components. Make sure the Teasmade is placed in a well-ventilated area and check to see if the internal components (such as the heating element) are clean and free of dust and debris.
  2. Power supply issue: The Teasmade's power supply could be faulty, causing the unit to shut down. Check the power cord and plug for any damage or wear, and make sure the outlet the Teasmade is plugged into is working properly.
  3. Control board issue: The control board inside the Teasmade could be malfunctioning, causing the unit to shut down. Unfortunately, it seems that the circuit board is fixed in place and it may not be possible to remove it easily, in this case, you may need to contact the manufacturer or a repair professional for assistance.
  4. Loose connection: The Teasmade may have a loose connection between the power cord and the circuit board, which can cause the unit to shut off. Check all connections between the power cord and the circuit board to see if any are loose.
It's possible that one of the above solutions will resolve the issue, but if not, it's best to contact the manufacturer or a professional repair technician for further assistance. Also, if the Teasmade is still under warranty, it's a good idea to contact the manufacturer to see if they can repair or replace the unit.
