If you only installed the App. you still need to install the drivers for the device.
The application is importnant to use the hardware but the driver needs to be in place so the computer knows how to communicate with the device. If you don't have a driver disk you can google the product brand with the model number and usually come up with the right driver.

Please go to control panel and regional language option select the location INDIA and than try to reinstall it. And if this not work than this might be your OS problem so format and reinstall may fix your problem.
I faced the same problem i installed it. But got through it. See if this works for you too:
1. You have to install the software you downloaded from the tata site or from the CD you got with the MODEM. Do this without attaching the MODEM to the laptop.
2. Once done, insert the MODEM into the USB drive. The Windows will automatically search drivers for USB MODEM and QualCoMM drivers and install it.
After it shows the success message, click the Tata Indicom Dialer and check. The problem should not appear again.
