LVDS issue with RCA 46 inch LCD TV

I am getting solorization and upside down picture. I replaced Main board (RE010C878LNA0) because TV would not turn on. Replaced Digital board (RE3342B058) because of solorization and upside down picture. Did not help. Also tried to fix using service menu. even service menu is fuzzy and upside down. The replacement board was exact same number. I already checked that all connections are correct and checked for jumpers. Hope you can help me keep this out of landfill.

The issue is one or more diodes in the back light are bad and the power supply is sensing the change in current flow and is shutting down. Finding the offending led's can be a tedious job. Pull the strip out and use a tester on each led or just replace all the led strips

Lines on the screen usually is a problem with LVDS board, panel or the ribbon cable to the panel. Set should have audio though. the main board processes both audio and video but will not produce colored lines.

You either have a bad t-con board or the screen is bad. Check to make sure all the ribbon cables are seated fully and connected. Even replacement parts can be bad sometimes, new and used both.

I replaced my main board on a 42lb45rq now my picture is upside down

Configure Windows "video" properties to have Windows "rotate" the picture 180 degrees, i.e., make Windows produce "upside-down" output, and the screen will "flip" that output.

Picture upside down

Check that the connectors are properly put on. In some models of TV sets the connectors are not keyed, and can be inserted in either direction. This would be obviously the connector that is carrying the image data to the screen.

If this is not a reversed connector, then it is most likely a firmware issue in the new replacement board. Make sure the replacement board is the exact one required for your model type.

Many tv repair tried to replace t-con to fix.it's well known by now that those lcd panels in those models fail in the way you are describing.You need new panel.I have changed panel in that model before with a Toshiba 46" lcd panel and it's t-con.Your models panel is mounted upside down (t-con at bottom) Toshiba is at top like most.I don't recommend you try this.must know what you are doing. Check the LVDS cable !!! It is the cable that supplies the video signal from the main board to the LCD controller. If wiggling the cable clears up the problem or invokes the problem, you need a new LVDS cable!

I would suspect main board more than one you replaced--not likely to get help as Thompson is not known for that--possible firmware upgrade seems likely.

On every set I have seen with upside down/inverted or reversed screen etc it has been either a firmware issue or a main board.

Picture issue on start up

T-Con PCB. It is attached to the panel, under a metal shield. The LVDS ribbon cable runs to it from the Main PCB. It can be purchased separately for this model. For version SS03, the PN is: BN81-01312A
