Greetings
The DSP HDMI board is not accessible anymore .
ONKYO has this problem for some time now
while upgrading over the Ethernet, the system doesn't recognize the new software.
And the AVR stops responding.
At the moment am working on it .
hope for the best .

0-83 error on onkyo tx nr 555

The 0-83 error indicates a problem with the firmware update.

Try resetting the receiver's BIOS by following these steps2:
Unplug all cables
Un-Power the receiver
Power the receiver
Before the receiver gets into the "Enter for updating" message, press Tone + CBL/SAT + ON/STANDBY. This will show you either the volume numbers or get you into settings of the receiver's speaker configuration.

Press CBL/SAT + ON/STANDBY. This will clear the BIOS and show a "Clear" message on the display. Wait until you hear a couple of clicking sounds for the receiver to turn on and off the power.

Onkyo tx-nr509 Receiver not talking to Panasonic TV TX-L42E31B

Hello, I am sorry about your issue. If the cable is long from the receiver to the TV it may cause video issues. Please try a reset of the receiver by pressing and holding vcr/dvr and then on/standby. When display shows clear let go. The receiver will shut down. Turn back on and test. This procedure will take the receiver back to factory defaults. Thank you, CB

I have purchased the onkyo TX-NR5007 from the US. This is teh US unit which operates on 120 V power supply. For use in Australia how expensive would it be to replacethe power supply if that is possible at...

I think it could be done if a version is/was made for the higher voltage market (240 volts?). All that would need to done is replacement of the power supply section parts with the the ones for the 240 Volt model.
As to the cost it would be the same as if the power supply was faulty, but the person doing it would need perhaps two service manuals (if the manual didn't cover both versions), and have to able to get hold of the replacement parts.
Another possibilty is that Onkyo might convert it for you!
If I was you, it might be your best option. For at least you would know for certain that the job was done to the highest standards, even if it might cost a bit.
Therefore I suggest you contact Onkyo as your first cause of action.

Onkyo tx-nr801 net tune setup help

Below is the sequence that I made it work

1. download the latest firmware for tx-nr801 and net-tune central software at Onkyo website as shown below:
http://www.intl.onkyo.com/products/net-tune/download/index.html
Click on "User Identification" at the bottom
(You'll need the serial number shown at the back of TX-NR801
to download it)

2. disable firewall in your PC or notebook and start
updating the firmware for tx-nr801
If firewall can't be disable, you probably can't go through this.
This step takes about 30 min.

(There is a document showing how to do this with the download)

3. keep disabling firewall in your PC (notebook) and install net-tune central (there is similar document describing the procedure too)

4. By pressing Net-Audio on remote controller (it can switch between mServer and iRadio fucntions if you keep pressing this button)
