SOURCE: Spa only gets to about 90 deg

For a quick fix you could swap out the air and water temp sensors. They should be exactly the same.

SOURCE: Sta Rite Sr333na Max E Therm Pool & Spa Heater gauge stuck?

Anytime the heater is reading the water temp to be above what it actually is, especially 126, the problem is the Thermistor, or Temp Sensor, for the heater. This is a very easy part to replace. The Thermistor is located on the manifold, on the left side, between the top two bolts.

Sorry this is a late response! Hope that it helps!

SOURCE: have pentair easy touch controls just installed

If the Easy Touch is reading the correct temperature, but the heater is not - you need to double check the temperature of the pool water with a standard pool thermometer.
Other things to consider:
1) The water is traveling too slowly through the heater. If the water is heating too quickly, then it will shut it off. If it takes a while for this to occur, then this would not be the issue.
2) Thermostat/thermistor is incorrectly reading the temperature of the water prematurely shutting the system down.
Make sure you really are checking the temperature of the water and matching this temperature up with one of the two readings that you are getting. Don't just take the word of the displays on either unit.

My spa pool is coming up with FLO flashing where the temp is shown, its a sunbeam and now wont hold temp

when a spa shows flo in a alarm message (like yours) this is a indication that the flow sensor is telling you that it has not enough flow thru the filters this most times disables the heater so it wont become overheated , Most times its caused by dirty filters or a foreign object getting past them , but ive also seen very poor water chemistry cause a false showing of this message , this usually requires a sensor replacement and correction of water chem to correct this

I have a Starite 400 natural gas spa heater that I replaced circuit board last year and worked fine thereafter. This year when I fire up the spa, once the temperature of the water hits 100 degrees the...

Is this a stand alone water or is it run by a control panel?

If you have a control panel that turns it on then make sure the temp reading for the heater display and the other control panel are the same or within 1 degree of each other.

If it a stand alone heater woh. Onautomation controlling it, you would want to check the actual water temp of the water to see if it matches the heater readout.

If it does then you want to heat it back to 100 , once the service light comes back on, look at the back of the circuit board, most likely you will see a hL-1 or hL-2 with a red lobby next to it.

These are high limit sensors....if one of these has a red light next to it then you need to ensure proper water flow , possibly clean your filter and ensure flow.

If it persists then the issue could be internal heater parts, thermal regulator, bad bypass, failing high limit sensor.

Pool heater won't heat water

How big a pool? You normally will not notice a temperature rise immediately. On average, swimming pools will see a one degree rise in temperature every 45 - 90 minutes.
