I cannot use the touchscreen

Is it a password issue that is locking the screen? The manufacturer will have some instructions on how to fix this problem.

Follow the steps mentioned below until your problem is sorted.

It starts your device in Recovery mode, you can do a Wipe-Factory-Reset from there. Use volume up/down buttons to navigate and press Power button to select. Be careful and don't mess with other options or you may brick your phone.
5. Knocking the Touchscreen (Not recommended) Remove the Screen Protector on your Android device if present. Now, gently knock every corner of your touchscreen to realign it. Sometimes continuous phone drops cause screen digitizer cable to loses its connection to device motherboard however, its a rare case.

It could be that your touchscreen (digitizer) is PARTLY broken.
To confirm, try rotating your tablet 180 degrees, and then touch the home button again.
If it works when rotated then you need a new touchscreen.
I hope you are good with precision tools, and have good mechanical skills and instincts: it's a rather intricate job to locate the locking tabs and screws that attach the touchscreen to the insides of the tablet, then remove them, and finally to replace a touchscreen. And then reattach all necessary fasteners, and test whether it will work properly.
EASIER FIX: go to Ebay and buy a used Trio tablet. it may cost you only $40 to $50 maybe even less!

My S3 constantly triggers the screen lock whenever it is touched. How do I turn this feature off?

when phone is idle, the auto lock feature locks out the screen. you can set the time when lock engages or disable completely. To unlock, press top right corner button or use touchscreen options by sliding finger up from bottom to top or press unlock button on bottom of touchscreen

If the Touch Screen is not working properly, Calibrate the touch screen..

Turn he unit off then on.... Slide Power Key to the right ( lock )

Hold finger on screen for about 30 seconds until calibration screen appears... for on screen instructions

Check that the "touch screen lock" is not engaged. To avoid accidental activation of the touchscreen, many models use some kind of "security" so that after a fixed time, the touchscreen will stop responding unless you (e.g.) click an unlock button. Verify this on the user manual.

Does it respond to keyboard entry? If not, check to see if the "lock" icon on the screen is in the locked position. It's real easy to accidentially lock the device. If it is, just click on the lock and confirm that you want to unlock.

You may also want to check the system settings. I believe there is a setting that will enable you to "turn off" the touch screen function.

Finally, try a touchscreen alignment in the system settings.
