Simon, very dangerous, Fully remove bolt and check the threads, if you think threads on bolt are questionable replace bolt. Pick your self up a small tube of Loctite for threads of bolt, before reinstalling coat the threads with Loctite and reassemble with all necessary washers and hardware.

How to replace blades on a hand held power devil planer (old version)

Try this.
Loosen the fastening bolts Loosen the three bolts that secure the blade.

2. Remove the blade
Now you can use a screwdriver to begin sliding the blade out of its slot. Grab the blade carefully and slide it out the rest of the way.

3. Repeat the process on the reverse side
Now turn the planer's drum around to the other side and repeat the process on the second blade.

4. Install the new blade
Now you can install the new blades. Notice the blades have a notch on them that aligns with the slot on the drum. Align the notch and slide the blade into place.

Loosely tighten the outer two nuts, but don't tighten them completely yet.

5. Align the blade
Make sure the blade is centered so it won't rub against either side of the planer. Once the blade is centered you can fasten the bolts down completely.

6. Repeat the process on the reverse side
Now rotate the drum and install the new blade on the other side.

My Fan is somehow loose and gets jammed. I don't see how the fan metal bracket fastens to anything and therefore is sort of floating loose and the blade keeps rubbing up against the plastic...

Fan should not be rubbing up against anything. I don't think the fan is secured properly to the motor shaft. Tighten down the metal clip that holds the fan onto the shaft. Make sure it's not back too far.

MTD 42" CUT MOWER MODEL 42A707 TYPE 1238 01 CODE960 2085A. 1) Mower blades do not stop spinning when deck is raised all of the way. 2) Left blade intermitantly makes a horrible noise when cutting grass...

I think either the bolt holding the left blade onto the spindle is loose, or the cup washers under that bolt are flattened or missing. As a result, the blade is slipping on the shaft and probably making a squeal or squawk. Take off the deck, flip it over, and remove the blades. Note if the bolts seem tight. And look at the washers stacked under the bolts. Replace any missing washers, or flattened cup washer. Make sure the cup washer faces the right way (hollow side toward the blade). Tighten things back up securely - it takes a hefty pull on the end of a 2 foot long wrench to get enough torque.

Guide pins for mower blade believed to be sheared. Hit rock and blade came loose on model #917.377682 Sears Craftsman 21'' with 6.75 turbo cooled Tecumseh engine. Threaded bolt came loose in between two...

Just enough to guide the blade in place so the screw can be tightened to secure the blade. BUT - you might have sheared the flywheel key that times the flywheel and ignition system.

Mine's rattling!! AHHH!

Check for loose mpounting bolts of the speaker itself. One unit I found had a Tolex covered back closure that was vibrating. Had to put a cleat in to secure it to the wall below it. Also check for wires that are unsecured.

I have installed uninstalled my laptop to the netgear wireless. It won't connect to the secured wireless but only to tthe unsecured It then says TCP?IP disabled for this connection

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Initially, which is the Netgear, the WiFI / AP router or the wireless networking card of the laptop?

Offhand, that there are at least two (2) networks that could be detected by the laptop indicates that the WiFi is both receiving and transmitting (it works and therefore the issue is settings & configurations). Which of the networks is yours; the secured or unsecured?

Alternately, determine the SSID of your WiFi network and the PASSKEY used or the security system used (if one is used in your system/network). Additionally, are you using the Netgear Smart Wizard Wireless Assistant or the Windows built-in Wireless Network Connection?

For the secured system, use the PASSKEY determined as per above; for the unsecured, it may be employing MAC filter, try manually inputting the IP Address, Subnet Mask and Default Gateway.

Postback result(s) / updates.

Good luck and thank you for asking FixYa.

Belt will not stay on pulley & motor

I would check to see if you have an unsecure (loose set screw which pulley in not rotating properly) or defective (bent, broken or unbalanced; unlikely) pulley. Also, ensure your motor is secure (bolts, not loose) and motor-shaft is not bent for some odd reason (very unlikely).

Also, are you sure you're installing the belt correctly per model diagram? Did you take off the pulley to install belt?
