It cannot be removed using software.

To remove the password you will have to remove the CMOS battery located on the lower side of the motherboard.

To access the battery the computer must be disassembled completely.

Hi, I got a Toshiba Satellite Pro M10, Is there a way to remove Password?, i can not access to the O.S. (not even to the bios). Thanks

Yeah - if it's a BIOS password, but if it's a HDD password then you're screwed and there's nothing to do but replace the HDD.

For a BIOS password removal, either buy a parallel port password removal key, or make your own. Schematics can be found here: http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/CmosPwd.

How to remove bios password for Toshiba Satellite A200

If you know the current password, use it to enter BIOS SETUP.
Then, type a "blank" ("space-bar") as the "new" password.

If you don't know the current password, you're stuck;
this is a "security" feature to prevent a stolen laptop from being used by the thief.

This comes straight from MICROSOFT: Uninstall the driver, and then click Scan for hardware changes to reinstall or upgrade the driver.
