I too had problems with the Kenmore Elite (aka Bosch). The issue was solved by replacing the Lock Sensor on the door. After replacing the sensor the dishwasher has been working. Hope this helps.
The selenoid that opens/closes drain function id burned out. Your local appliance parts store can provide a replacement selenoid and tell you exactly how to replace it.
If it keeps running, it's likely a faulty thermostat, thinking that the water isn't hot enough. They're located underneath the dishwasher. Part number is 154290204
ok start the washer after it fills and starts washing open the door again and turn the dial to drain shut the door see if it drains if it does then open the door and turn it to heated dry shut the door and get you a small glass of warm water let it sit in heated dry for about 3 minutes open the door and pour the water on the heating element and let me know if it sizzles
