F84 Error code Miele

As soon as I install the dishwaser I got Error F84

Our dishwasher (new) has been working perfectly well for 4 months. We then got an F84 error. We thought it may have been clogging of the rubbish trap - but emptying this made no difference. Still no solution.

This problem arises because the water inside the washer cannot get out.
Firstly......Make sure the salt cover if screwed on tightly (if you have one).
Then remove the filter(s) from bottom of the washer and clean.
Remove the drain pump cover and remove the one way valve (a ball bearing in a housing) and clean. Take note of rubber cover direction before pulling it out to clean.
Make sure the impeller (visible after you remove drain pump cover) is clean and spins ok. It will have a little resistance as you spin with your finger.
Make sure all is cleaned properly and it will all work fine again after replacing it all back in.

I have an F 84 error on Miele G1220 .
I have cleaned the non-return valve and there are no foreign objects that I can see restricting the impeller.
Is there anything else I can do?
There is a stainless steel metal solid tube on the opposite side from the non return valve, under the filter combination. intrying to make sure everything was free, I have inadvertantly pushed this back into the casing . I hope his has not caused a further problem.

With advice, This problem is now solved.

F84 says water can not get away.
The problem was seasy to fix finally, simply by unscrewing the clamp which connects the drain hose to the drain under the sink.

The problem was at the point where the water exits into the drain under the sink. When the miele was installed, the hole was not cut cleanly into the PVC drain under the sink. Over the 4 years, the waste from the Miele had gradually clogged up the draining pipe.
I (on advice) disconnected the pipe (from the Miele) where it enters the drain (under the sink where its goes into the U bend) and it was totally blocked. I cleaned this drain pipe, and also scraped clean the hole into the PVC pipe under the sink. there was still a problem because this drain hose from the Miele was also clogged closer to the Miele. All I did was to pull the entire Dish Washing machine out from the wall about half way (it would not come totally out because the hose was not long enough) and this was enough to clear the hose.

IT NOW WORKS PERFECTLY and I have not had to call a repair man! Wonderful!!

I bought a house that has a Miele G2243 SCU dishwasher that constantly faulted with various fault codes. The F84 was the main fault code. The recirculation pump impeller was jammed with sand, broken glass and rocks, the slide shuttle valve was also jammed solid with sand and broken glasss. The slide shuttle control rod was leaking water causing the machine to fail and the internal water proofing would cut in to keep our floor dry. There was a nest of roaches in next to the control board. There was a mouse tunnel and next in the sound proofing behind the front door cladding. I have cleaned it out and fitted a $1 "o"ring to the slide shutter control arm. The water supply was from a contaminated rain water tank so I fitted a filter. Slide shutter sync motor drives a small gearbox and unfortunatly the plastic cog was spinning on the metal shaft. I it with green Locktite 290 retaining compound. This machine is a testament to the quality and reliability that Miele build into their appliances. It's been to hell and back and survived! I am just so impressed with the design and reliability they have built into this machine. I would certainly recomened Miele Deishwashers! Previously I have owned Smeg, Seimens, Fisher Packel and Dishlex.

Hello, I have a Miele G5575SCVI. I have had a F84 error code 30-40 seconds into load. A service technician came and replaced the water intake valve (in picture) because he thought it could be faulty. Still...

You should phone Miele, that is disgraceful. Tell them you want a factory technician to visit. Whomever you got isn't a 'proper' technician, plus you have expended money for items you didn't need replacing. With my Miele washing machine, the engineer attached his laptop to it to diagnose faults.

The only thing I have found is making sure the salt cover is tight. These machines go through a self test procedure and if sometimes fails, it aborts the program.

F84 error on miele dishwascher miele g2530 sci

There is a slide valve in the machine that directs the water to the upper and lower arms. The valve can become plugged or the signal to it can become lost. The machine is not an easy one to repair and you can do more harm than good if you don't know what you are doing. To give you an idea, you have to remove the machine and turn it upside down to work on it.
