I have a Hiti P510s printer it has been in the storage container for a few months. It was working fine when I last used it but now it won't print anything.

You may have upgraded to the wrong firmware, you can try to go back to the original and see if it works. If you turned it off during FW upgrade, not good!
Double check the ribbon chip and make sure contacts are clean. Also make sure it is for the 4x6 paper size. If it is a 5x7 ribbon it will not work. Have you printed 5x7's before? If so this is probably the issue.
Also check to make sure firmware is up to date. . I hope that helps!
It depends on which model of Kyocera Printer you have. Please clarify. With most models it can be controlled from the front panel, by selecting the correct EXIT selection for FACE UP. When the clutch engages you will hear it change from the FACE DOWN (top) tray to the rear exit.
I would however suggest that you use a good quality brand of envelopes and DO NOT ATTEMPT to use envelopes with PEEL-n-STICK flaps as this can damage the drum, developer and fuser resulting in costly repairs and voiding any warranty that you might have.
