I have cracked the screen it made a flash then nothing now a light blinks can it be repaired only 2 months old

Unfortunately, this set may not be worth repairing, it has a main and power board combo and your issue is in this board according to Funai, the parent company of Sylvania's service info. If you can find a board reasonably it should fix the set but considering its about 10 years old it may make more sense to replace the TV. It's also possible the screen was damaged when it fell, in some cases you can't see the damage.

Those blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Three blinks to standby light to Sony LCD TVs, denotes a fault with its main power regulator board. If the set is in warranty period, contact the authorized service centre. Tv is new only 6 months old?Yes take ur warranty repair service.The tv have 2 long LCD inverter boards problems,to causes the LCD screen panel to flashing/blinking or it is the causing by a bad power supply board,that the board where the a/c power cord plug into it.

Please ignore the first solution as that blink code definition is for a Sony CRT based set, NOT an Emerson.

Carefully examine the LCD panel itself with a flashlight and look for small cracks. Based upon your description of events, I think that the panel is actually cracked. This usually only prevents a picture from showing. The red lights are an indication of an internal problem and the set is in shutdown to prevent further damage.

Without seeing the actual unit, I cannot make a definite diagnosis, but I would initially suspect a power supply problem that may be relatively cheap to fix. If the set is relatively new, I'd invest in a detailed repair estimate. Post the info here from that estimate and we may be able to walk you through the actual repair.
