Sensors need to be aligned with one another , the one that's red now is the receiver and the one green now is transmitter
it is very common for mounting brackets to get bumped and be out of alignment , a little twist and eye balling it and it will work once again

generally a garage door will open whether or not the sensors are aligned, but will not close. i would check out stop points and force amounts.

Garage door opens about 4 inches, stops, then goes back down. No flashing lights at all. One sensor light is green, the other is a steady yellow. What's the issue?

something may be obstructing the door, so pull the red emergency release handle and try to pull the door manually.if you cant move it manually, call for professional help

make sure all snow and debris are clear of the area where the door closes

if there are no obstructions, manually set the adjustment controls on the back side of the opener panel. weather can sometimes change the amount of force needed to open/close. adjust the setting with a screwdriver to no more than 260 degrees, about 3/4 of a turn

I have a craftsman garage door opener and I have to hold the button down in order to close the door. The door opens fine and the sensors are clear. The unit starts to close then stops, the lights start...

When you can close the door by holding down the wall button it IS the safety eyes or wiring.

If the eyes are mounted to the track. Many times the track wll move as the door closes causing the eyes to move out of alignment.
Watch as the door moves down and see if they need to be adjusted.

If the eyes are not both lit - they are out of alignemnt or have a wiring problem. try adjusting them and see if the lights come on. - if not check the wiring

Hope this helps

The small green LED light on garage door motor head out

That little green bulb just flickers when the logic board is receiving a radio signal and is also used to send a code to assist with diagnosis. It does not keep the opener from working. You say the door is 'stuck'. If it is stuck in the open position the trolley may be jammed against the bolt just in front of the motor unit. If so, loosen the chain to relieve the pressure and the opener should run. When the door is closed locate the 'up limit' on the side of the motor unit and turn this 2 complete turns in the opposite direction of the arrow printed on the cover. Then tighten the chain.

Sensor lights not working on door opener

If the sensor light or receiver gets kicked, it can be knocked out of alignment. If it's not aligned, it will act as though it is blocked -- in other words it will open, but not close.
I fixed my buddy's opener not long ago -- you should have two parts of the sensor, near the floor at the bottom of the door. One is an infrared light, the other is a receiver. The receiver should have a little LED on it. This glows green when it is receiving a clear signal from the other side. If your's is glowing red when you can see that the path is clear, try adjusting the aim of the infrared light. You should be able to gently move the light from side to side until you see the LED on the receiver glow green.

Garage sensor problem

The colour on the sensors doesn't change.
One is orange constantly and the other is green when detecting a signal from the orange sensor.
If the green is flickering, they are not adjusted correctly.Move the green sensor until you get a good solid green. Holding the wall pad button down, just bypasses the sensors.

Try adjusting only the sensors so that they are solid.

In addition, check the little yellow light on the back of the machine and count the flashes.
The number of flashes will tell you what the error is in your manual.
